Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I downloaded and used Stockperks this week. Once I had the app I simply allowed it to "pair" with my Robinhood app and entered info for 2 upcoming sailings. It took 2 days but I received an email for each sail date saying it was approved and the credits are both on my Carnival booking details. I understand the security concerns but I have all of my high dollar investments (IRA and 401K) with other brokers. I use the Robinhood account to "play" a little bit and that is where I hold my Carnival shares.
  2. Your absolutely right, I misread the initial post as due 2 months after the cruise. Sorry about that.
  3. With your Daughter in Law's pregnancy she would actually not be able to cruise past 26 weeks. That may be in your favor for switching guests and might give you some lee way around the fees normally associated with switching or cancellation if you call and explain the cruise was booked before she found out about the pregnancy.
  4. So long story short my wife has had scheduling conflicts at work since we booked our cruise and needs to be back at work 2 days earlier than originally planned. Since this was planned around multiple families and school vacation it wasn't really an option to reschedule, so she was just looking at staying home. A few days ago I got the idea to look at one way flights from Cozumel that would get her back home in time and they are actually really reasonable. She would still get to cruise and would just miss the last 2 nights and 1 sea day. I have already talked to the cruise line and in so many words they said it wouldn't be a problem to disembark in Cozumel and there wouldn't be any extra fees but "technically" they have to advise all guests to complete their cruise. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this before and if there are any immigration issues in Mexico that we will run into or any other hoops to jump through that someone knows of.
  5. I thought I would just add on to this thread instead of making a new one since my question is basically the same as the OP (hope you had a great cruise by the way) just in reverse. We are planning for July of 2024 and would really like to fly back home the same day the cruise disembarks. However flights late that evening are much more expensive as of now. The best flight coming up for us leaves Heathrow at 12:50. Is it even feasible to disembark in Dover in the morning and make that flight? I'm assuming a private transfer would be the way to go and it is a Sunday if that makes a difference in traffic. The ship is listed as arriving in dover at 5:00 that morning. If there are transfer buses running as early as 6:00 or so I guess that would make it much easier, just don't know if they do. Any suggestions are appreciated.
