Me and hubby went on allure for our honeymoon and in August we are going on our second cruise for our 2 yr anniversary along with my parents my dad celebrating his 60th on oasis I'm curious to see how things have changed since 2014 and if there are some differences between both ships! It's a private excursion. Soualiga Destinations
Snorkeling, swimming, boat tour, watching the planes from the water, and a WONDERFUL lunch!! Just amazing!!
He is also very familiar with the ship schedules, so he will be up front if it will work or not.
Thank you!!

San Juan is a great Do It Yourself port. There is so much to see and experience within a short walking distance from where the ship docks. There are two forts. Both are fascinating but El Morro is quite famous. Amazing pictures to be taken at each. The town of San Juan is also very interesting to walk around and browse. The Butterfly shop is fantastic, but you can get the same style of work with better quality and MUCH CHEAPER prices (even shipped) from an artist in Tampa, FL who does similar work. I have a few of his pieces I found after falling in love with the ones in San Juan and not being able to afford them. I found him at a major Christmas market in Houston, TX. You can google real tropical butterflies acrylic framing and you should be able to find his stuff. It has some version of the word Butterfly in it, but I can't remember now what it is. The guy is a true artist and his customer service was outstanding.
There are also a lot of fun little authentic cafes and stores with handmade items all over the Old Town district you will find as you walk the city streets. Almost all of the buildings are historic and very charming.
There is also the US's only Rainforest in Puerto Rico you can visit. I haven't been there, but my sister has and she loved it. You can rent a car and go on your own or take a tour. I'm sure the cruise line offers them.
Good luck. I don't know much about St. Maarten, but the advice to check out the port of call threads is a good one. You will find lots of people willing to help you there. Have fun!
Thank you! I'm very excited I'm going to look into these things thanks so much for advice!! [emoji5]

The Ports of Call forums are very helpful:

If time allows it in St. Maarten I HIGHLY recommend Captain Bob and Soualiga Destinations day-Ling excursion. Hands-down the best day I've had on a cruise yet.

Is this an excursion through Royal or would I have to find it elsewhere? And thank you!!

Sure, you can pre-order any number of bottles of wine, independent of the two bottles you can bring on.
Ok so there's an unlimited number of wine you can have in your stateroom? Your just only allowed to bring on two?
Thanks good to know! [emoji5]

Figured I ask this question here instead of starting a new thread so if you have 2 bottles of wine in your room can you also have a bottle of wine waiting for you in your room when you board or can you order an bottle of wine to your room my parents are traveling with us and it will also be my dads birthday and I would like to send them one but I know they are going to bring 2 bottles of there own

Thanks I'll def look into these!

Im cruising the oasis in August and before we board we are staying at the margaritaville I heard so many great things about it so I'm very excited! but what we like to do is also stay at a hotel before we fly back home and we like to always do 2 diff hotels just for the experience since we don't go to Florida often. On our first cruise we stay at the Weston diplomat which was beautiful but we would like to try a different hotel I did lots of research but I just can't decide and reviews are always so mixed! So I wanted to know you guys suggestions we want an on the ocean or by the ocean hotel what hotels where just amazing for you guys and what do you suggest?

Info you want is here:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalsuiteclass
Junior Suites don't really get any perks other than Costal Kitchen for dinner.
Thank you for the link!

Hey cleara!!! How have you been? Thank you for the link!!
-
Our last three sailings on either the Allure of the Seas or the Oasis of the Seas, the main door to the Crown Loft Suites on deck 17 were opened at boarding (11:15am-ish), so we dropped off our carry-ons before we went to eat and explore.
Safe travels.
Wow that's a plus!! Thanks for the info!
-
On Oasis class the suite sun deck has chilled towels at the bar for you. That perk is not listed anywhere. I found out by chance. Enjoy.
Thank you very helpful info that is great to know!

Come on, do your own homework. All the information that you are requesting is on the cruise lines website. You just need to spend the time to search it out. I won't hurt, I promise.
Lol thank I did my homework and some things were confusing that's why I decided to ask the question figured that's what the forum is for right? Lol but thanks for your helpful input!
