Loving your review!
Just a thought: have you ever considered getting Sakari involved with a competitive swim team? I coach 5-8 year olds, and she seems to have so much potential. More importantly, it seems like she would really enjoy it! Lots of cities have summer rec teams to get a taste of competitive swimming, so I'm sure you could find one fairly easily if you're interested.

Thank you Elaine, that really helps! It's good to know we won't have to get off the ship super early just to sit around at the airport all morning!

I'm thinking about using this service, but I have a few questions. I'm wondering if there is a special debarkation time for those using this shuttle. I am also wondering for those that have used it, about what time your shuttle left the port and arrived at the airport.
My flight is not until 3pm so I'm not too worried, but I'd just like to get an idea of what the day will look like. We'll be sailing on the Breeze if that matters.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Are you cruising with someone else, and what is their age?
I believe I saw something about this on John Heald's Facebook page recently. If I remember correctly, two people over 21 are fine, but if you are over 21 and your roommate is under 21, that is not allowed unless you are 25.

Those 45 and over got it and most probably liked it, regardless of political leanings. Those under 45...and let's face it, the majority would not know who President Kennedy was, much less understand his sense of adventure on and off the planet, might give it a thumbs down.
The spot aimed higher than the young booze n cruise, inked up crowd which is a definite plus. On the other hand, that demo is the future, so take that with a grain of salt..in your blood or on the water...or on my margarita.
I'm 22 and I absolutely loved it, so I don't know that it's necessarily an age thing. In fact, I thought cruise virgins made me feel like they were trying too hard to be relevant to my age group. Not unlike that creepy old uncle who tries to be "cool" but is not, at all, in any way.

I am looking to book a cruise for January 2016 and have been watching the sales for a while now, but all of them have only been good for sailings up until December 2015.
From what I remember, when I looked at sales Carnival had in November they still had the December 2015 cut-off, so it doesn't seem to be an "x" number of months out thing. Anyone have a good guess as to when they might include January 2016 in their sales?

My husband and I went to St. Maarten in August without passports and had no problem getting off with just our birth certificates, although the woman at check-in gave us the "the look" like we were irresponsible for doing so.

It is possible, but not definite. As the others said, go ahead and ask.
if you are referring to the recent "Dash Sale" I know they extended it and have said so on their site. Is that what you were referring to?
Also, you don't say if final payment has been made, just that the booking was made. Have you made final payment? If not, it is entirely possible to get the current promo....
Yes, it is the dash sale I am referring to! And final payment has not yet been made.
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I definitely will ask!

Is it possible to receive current promotions after you've already booked? I was reading through some posts about other people getting on board credit or free upgrades after they've already booked. I feel like the obvious answer to this is "no", but this is the first time booking a cruise myself so I'm not sure how things work and was confused reading the other posts.
When we booked the Getaway, we did receive some onboard credit, which I am pretty happy with, but as this will be my honeymoon, it would be nice to get the upgrade they are currently offering.
Again, I feel like the answer to this is no, but things I've read on this board previously have confused me!

I called Kroger regarding this, and they told me that they are not seeing it on their end, and usually when that happens it's because once it has been used by a certain number of people, they take it down.
So it seems like we're out of luck, unfortunately.
