Another GREAT review Kim! I always get bummed when I finish a review from either you or Gambee, but lucky me... there's another one coming next month! :)
I really can't believe how big Sakari is getting. I kind of feel like I've seen her grow up through reading your reviews. Such a dollbaby she is. And I will admit that I did miss hearing about Kendra's antics.
And finally, a big CONGRATS on your new grandbaby. Aren't they the best! :D

Speak Easy Martini:
1/3 shot Grand Marnier
1/3 shot Apricot Brandy
1/3 shot Southern Comfort
1 shot Sweet and Sour Mix
Champagne to taste
Orange slice for Garnish
Rim a glass with Brown Sugar. Add grand marnier, brandy, and southern comfort. Float champagne on top. Garnish with orange. Enjoy!
1 shot = 1 ounce
Thank you for posting this. When I got home, I had googled and got the recipe, bought the ingredients I didn't have and made it. It was good, but just wasn't the same as on the ship. And when I was on the ship, it didn't have an orange in it. And I didn't rim with brown sugar. I'm going to try it again like you have it listed. :D

Ahhhh... the Speak Easy. I discovered that drink on the Jewel last year. It is not my absolute favorite martini/drink. It's a must try. Now I really want one...

i have never seen so many complaints. Just don't go if you don't like it. You have a choice. Simple. Stop complaining. My god.
Or perhaps if you don't like the complaining, you can just not read the threads pertaining to this topic. Just a suggestion...
People have a right to be upset about this, especially cruisers that are already past final payment. Would I let it ruin my cruise. Heck no... I don't order room service much anyway. But for you to rip posters for being upset isn't right either. Just my opinion.

Wow. I just came across this thread a few days ago while reading one of Gambee's reviews (I read all of Gambee & Mitsu's reviews). While reading Kev's review, I really felt like I got to know him. What a fun guy he must've been to spend time with. I so enjoyed his review, and was incredibly sad to read he had passed only three weeks after finishing his review. RIP Kev, and know that you are missed by someone who only just discovered who you were. :(

We went to Nachi Cocum back in November and loved it. If I were you though, I would check out all of Mitsugirly's reviews. She has been to most of the places in Cozumel. They are extensive reviews that will give you an excellent feel for the location. Just click on the the review below and scroll down and you will see links to all the different reviews.

I am really enjoying your review! The mojito flight looked fantastic. I am a big fan of the martini tastings, but next time I think I will try the mojito flight as well.
I was on the Jewel last year in March and November. I sure wish I would have known about the secret area up on deck 15. We had a heck of a time finding chairs to land on.

My first Norwegian ship to cruise on was the SS Norway. She's long gone now, but we sure did enjoy her.

When I was on the Jewel in March sailing out of New Orleans, the signature martini was a Speak Easy, and it was fantastic. When I got home,I went out and bought everything I needed to make them. It was good, but not as good as they were on the Jewel.
Not sure if that is still the featured martini.

The martini tastings were my favorite event on the ship. We did two, and for $15 i walked away (albeit a crooked walk) with a good buzz. Plus, the martini's were delish!

I was feeling this way, but just over the last few days, I'm starting to get excited. Packing is definitely overwhelming, but once I get started, it doesn't seem that bad.

We will be @ Nachi Cocum on November 18. What is the average tipping $$? Do you tip just your waiter or do you include servers, bartenders etc? Your input will be greatly appreciated.
I would be interested in knowing this as well. We will be there the week prior.

Another fantastic review Gambee! I think this ship is the more beautiful ship I have seen. That stairway was something else! Your pics are some of the best I have seen. Again, great job! Bummed I have to wait for another Gambee review.

Yikes! That sounds incredibly painful. Hope you are all better now. I bruised my tailbone once and to this day, it still hurts when sitting on a hard surface for too long. I know... TMI.
