  1. We were on the Sky a year ago..... It was not a booze cruise at all. There was a lot more partying happening on the Getaway.

The Sky seemed to have comedians most nights. Your children can enjoy some of the silly game show style shows. There will also be plenty of live music to listen to.

We really enjoyed the Sky! Have fun!

  2. We took a tour with Bernard's Tours. It was perfect for us! With this tour you will visit Orient Beach and Maho. Our guide stopped off at a couple other spots. It was a great day and very nice having a driver waiting. Highly recommend Bernard's. Google the name and you'll find his website.

  3. We were on the Sky a year ago. My husband and I loved it! We had a great vacation. We enjoyed listening to the live bands in the evenings. There was never a problem finding a lounge chair in a good location on the pool deck. Food was good. We really loved the Sky and would absolutely sail again.

GSC was nice. We laid in a chair for awhile to get some sun. We also had the UBP and spent some time sitting at the bar area and talked with other cruisers. That's about all we did at GSC. It was a great day!

  4. Wanted to add..... It is a fun ride to the beach. Our taxi driver told some history and would pull over at just the right spots for people to take pictures. Most of the taxis are open-air trucks with benches and seating for 15 - 20.

  5. We went to Magen's Bay last week on our day in St Thomas. It was an $8 per person taxi ride each way. So, for our family it was $64 round trip. It is a couple dollars to get in to the beach as well. There are lounge chairs to rent, snorkel gear, floating mats, food and drinks. It was very calm waters while we were there. My 7 year old twins had a great time playing in the water! It was quite crowded the day we were there..... People everywhere!

  6. I would like to go ahead and make reservations for Teppanyaki. It says per child pricing will be done on ship. So, can I make our reservations before boarding? If I choose 4 for dinner.... it charges me adult prices.

Do I just need to wait until we board? I was simply hoping to get an early dinner time.

  7. I definitely understand that! I wouldn't get off the ship without my husband either.

We cruised Disney Dream when our twins were 4 and loved it. It's just so much more expensive. We are taking the family on the Getaway in about 2 weeks.

Do you believe your husband was sick before boarding and didn't know it? Was it his asthma?
