Hi! Anyone has done this excursion with royal or other Cruise Line? Does it worth it? Any advice? Our age group varies from 8-60.
We did Rio Secreto excursion through Carnival and I highly recommend it! We were offered walking sticks and there was some swimming involved. It was by far our favorite excursion.

The most recent Bermuda port schedule (3/2) does not have the Escape as a visitor to the island; and Carnival.com does not have it in the list of its cruise ships stopping in Bermuda.

We were looking at 2017 dates. Unless I'm looking at something different Carnival site has a July 2017 date from Baltimore. We will double check. Thank you.

Avoid the Epic. Please read the Epic reviews. We did a cruise last year on the Epic and it was by far the worst cruise we ever took.
Thanks for the advice, however I meant the Escape.

I've done it before!
And I called Dolphin Discovery in Tortola and they had a 25% discount going on. I would have had to pay full price booking on NCL.com
Only 75 bucks for the swim instead of 99. Apparently we just take a taxi over and then I can just watch from the observation area. I'm going to try to sneak a picture or two :O
That is a good deal! I know he'll have a good time. Enjoy your cruise!

Why not participate? It was one of the most memorable and rewarding excursions I've been on. I think you'd enjoy it.

Opinions please. We're planning our next cruise and can't decide between a Carnival cruise to Bermuda, where we've never been, or Norwegian Epic to the Western Caribbean, where we've been several times...just not on Norwegian.

Bless you! My favorite!

Absolutely! Just plan ahead and mix and match clothing. I include a packable tote to bring home purchases if there any.

I'm sorry I'm just seeing this post. If I recall correctly, we spent about and hour there including the guided tour. I believe prices have increased since then but the admission includes the tour., just tip the guide.

We've always enjoyed Nassau. The locals have always been friendly and helpful. We take the same precautions that we would take in any other city. Don't rule out a potentially wonderful day because someone else had a bad experience. We've never been negatively approached. We've done excursions and walked around on our on. I have to say we enjoyed the day on our own much more. We walked to Fort Charlotte, the Fish Fry, took the jitney back to the main part of town and grabbed a taxi to the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle.Looks like we followed the same itinerary that foxgoodrich did! There are wonderful views from Fort Charlotte.

I get up early and have coffee and watch the sun rise, then sit on deck with a book. My husband sleeps late then we meet for breakfast. No definite plans other than relaxing.

If you have a car, the MS Gulf Coast is only an hour away.

All ages would enjoy the aquarium and insectarium. If it's Jazzfest, then there will be crowds everywhere though...just crowded, not necessarily rowdy in this area. Check out this site http://audubonnatureinstitute.org/

We haven't sailed with Celebrity but have with Carnival. We can log in on the website with our booking number and make arrangements from there. I'm sure it's a similar process with other lines.

Damascene items in Spain are beautiful and reasonably priced. (Toledo steel inlaid with gold or silver) I have several jewelry pieces and a small clock from a previous trip.
-
We enjoyed Rio Secreto and although I haven't been there in years Tulum Mayan Ruins were in a beautiful spot.

We booked it through Carnival and loved it! They took us all over the island and we got to see a great deal that we wouldn't have seen on our on. They provided a lunch and a little time for looking around Garden of the Groves, then a stop at a beach club. We would do it again!

Chakanaab Park with kids would be great...swim,dolphins,etc. I agree that they would like the Turtle Farm. Stingray City might be a bit adventurous with a 4 year old.
-
We booked a jeep excursion through Carnival for Freeport and thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw parts of the island that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. In Nassau, my husband went scuba diving on one trip, on another we just walked around and visited the forts and had lunch at Twin Brothers. There's plenty of shopping there too. I can't comment on Key West but I look forward to going.

The Haunted History Tour is great! Our guide actually grew up in the French Quarter. I wish I could remember his name.
-
Update! The water tower was closed but we were able to get some great views from Fort Fincastle and Fort Charlotte in Dec. 2014!
-
I felt perfectly safe on the jitney. It was a mix of tourists and locals and much less expensive than a taxi...but limited space depending on the time of day.
-
I agree, Twin Brothers is very good for seafood. We were able to walk from port and get a table outside. It was delicious! They have a website, with the menu posted. Check it out!
Flavored water-bringing on board

I would suggest ordering water from Carnival. It will be in the stateroom when you arrive, and take your own flavoring. I like to use True Lemon packets. It will also leave more room in your luggage.
