  1. We made it home ... American came through for us after the most helpful lady worked hard to get us on a standby flight . I hugged her as I boarded our flight .

I have to say the not having to pay for flight until final payment is a huge plus for us .

Our friends on SW Saturday connected in Dallas Love Field maybe less rain there .

We survived , we made it have our bags and all is well .

on standby for 2 afternoon flights .Hopefully not another night in Dallas.

EZ Air not so easy , will think hard before using it again.

    coughers and sneezers everywhere.

  3. We were told flight cancelled as no pilot . Stood in help line in airport until 2.30 am hoping for a hotel … no go . Flight had been coded as weather cancellation so no compensation .

  4. We are in same situation 5 hour delay from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas . Sat on plane in Dallas waiting to go to Portland over 3 hours to be told flight cancelled due to weather . Strange as other lines SW and Delta were taking off .

No hotel availability spent night in airport . Around 3 am I called Princess EZ air help line and told them I had to book another airline home as no flights on American until Tuesday.

they were very helpful and said Princess will only reimburse for the new flight we had to book. Paperwork is on line .

People letting friends and family onto the cabana deck.  There are already 39 cabins that have access to the deck, bringing in random others would not be fair to those who paid for that access.

That concerns me also , in the Havana Outdoor Area on CCL you could not take guests at all .The Special green arm band was needed .

  6. We enjoyed ours on Majestic , we had issues with rain coming in through the door in a huge rain storm , quickly resolved by Princess with shop vac and a fan.

I am short and when sitting on the balcony could not see over the solid rail .....short person issue but the experience was fun .

We were on the Emerald in August. Access to the area has been changed and while the facilities might physically still be there, you must now pay for use, whereas before, it was included in fare.

Oh goodness I was looking forward to using the steam room but maybe I will not need it on Panama Canal , just stand on balcony .

We walked a fair amount during the trip. We walked to the Botanical Gardens in Sydney and around the grounds there and walked a fair amount in other cities and on the ship. We made some use of the stairs but not like we did years ago. I'm happy to be able to walk as not too long ago I was looking at walkers thinking I might well need to buy one for the long term. I graduated to walking with a cane  but it wasn't good and I couldn't do it for long or for very far. Now I walk without a cane or any assistance. I'll never be a long distance walker but I'm happy to get around on my own. It's great that simple things like going to Costco are no longer an issue. The secret to cruising without gaining weight is to not eat all the time just because there is food everywhere.

Well done , great achievement ...

    Thanks for the replies

The only thing that really bothers us is having loads of screaming kids on board... running and jumping into the pools splashing the adults that are there trying to relax and enjoy themselves (unless there are 'adult only 'pools on Crown?)

We did see kids on Solstice, but there weren't many of them and the ones we saw were obviously well behaved

has anyone experienced any problems with tendering on Crown?

2-3 of the port stops are tender ones and with 3000 guests all clambering to get on a tender it might be a bit chaotic?

I'll have another read up about Crown Princess deck plans...etc.. and look at some YouTube videos

The kids may be an issue for you at Christmas I fear , there is an adult pool by the gym at the front of the ship.

  10. We spend Christmas 2023 on Crown , and Christmas 2022 on Royal ,both times to Hawaii .

In comparison Royal was far more too our liking .

Crown was very very crowded had trouble finding a tale in Buffet at times , some very large families with noisy kids . In all fairness I think some of the kids were bored as the weather was not good on most of the sea days and pools closed .

The ship is tired but that did not spoil our cruise ,never smelled sewage . Some plumbing issues in late afternoon the water in Cabin shout off a few times .

The crew were marvelous , I felt sorry for them the amount of kids rooting in the Christmas trees looking for ducks ....security shut that down .Also the great duck swop at a set up stall outside Crown Grill ...masses of kids from 10 to about 14 with about 200 ducks they were swopping or selling .

We had a good cruise but the lack of parental supervision was evident .

  11. This happened to us going to a Cruise , Delta canceled our flight Reno to LA and good old SW came through for us thank goodness ....this all happened 4am day of cruise .We got no help from EZ Air lady finding another flight . We fly in day early now .

Once on board I started to tackle the Issue , Loyalty desk not a clue ,Guest services very polite but not our problem.

After many Princess Chats and Faxing flight cancellation details and new flight with Invoice they paid for our new SW Flights ...

This took several months but it did work out in the end. This was Feb 2023 ,we got refund around Oct 23 . I believe we had 2 forms they sent us to fill out .

We were also on Crown over Christmas luckily our Alaska flight did go.

    Good Luck.

  12. Effective January 22, pricing for a la carte MedallionNet WiFi packages purchased pre-cruise is increasing, with onboard pricing for a la carte MedallionNet WiFi packages increasing on voyages embarking January 31 and beyond.
This change does not affect pricing for Princess Plus and Princess Premier bundles (BUNDLE PRICING IS NOT INCREASING), further enhancing the incredible value of these inclusive packages.
Princess Plus and Princess Premier bundles are already the best value in cruising and this recent adjustment to MedallionNet pricing makes this value even greater, giving guests one inclusive price for the things they typical purchase on board - MedallionNet, drinks, crew appreciation and specialty/casual dining options and more.
