  1. I'm thinking of going to Turtle Bay post cruise. Would you recommend a longer stay Pre or post cruise?

You do realize that Turtle Bay Resort is essentially "in the middle of nowhere"? And if you're there during North Shore surf season, the road towards Haleiwa can be clogged with very slow moving traffic. It's also a very long drive to get back to Honolulu (could easily take 45-60 mins).

  2. Hi doing some research for a Hawaii cruise. We want to leave and return to Hawaii. What cruise line do you recommend? How long of a cruise? What time of year is best? What islands to visits?

Thank you all for your help.:)

As Astro_flyer mentioned, NCL is the only major cruise line that offers inter-island cruising (to/from Honolulu). That 7 day cruise maximizes your time on 3 islands (Maui, Big Island, Kauai). You would, however, have to fly to/from Hawaii to make use of this cruise line.

Princess/etc have cruises from mainland (and elsewhere) to Hawaii and back, but the majority of your time will be spent at sea getting to/from Hawaii (at least 4 days in each direction). This means your Hawaii vacation will need to be at least 14/15 days for the cruise portion only. Additionally, in most cases you will only have a "one day visit" to any port (whereas NCL has an overnight in Maui, and in Kauai).

    Which do you prefer?
