  1. Is it not possible to keep the same cabin for each cruise? When we do back to back on Thomson we always keep the same cabin for the duration.

Or did you decide later that you wanted to stay for the next cruise?

Hi, yes we decided later, hence not the same cabins.

Many thanks for all your helpful replies.

  2. Hi, we will shortly be going on the Oriana for a triple back to back cruise.

I am aware that the cabin steward/ deck supervisor will help us to move to our new cabin , for the second cruise, but can someone please tell me, do they move everything for you, or do you have to pack certain items yourself.

Any advice will be appreciated, from those who have experienced the procedure.

  3. Just thought I would share this quote (this year) from P+Os MD.

"P&O Cruises is changing its pricing in a bid to secure more early bookings and to offer customers who book early the best value."

Marketing director Christopher Edgington said "P&O was looking to reverse the current trade of dropping prices late on."

He said: “We have reduced the prices on 100 cruises in this new brochure. We want to give our passengers the best value possible and we wanted our prices to be more aligned with the market."

“Passengers need to book early to make sure they get the best price possible, and this needs to be reinforced."

“In the past the industry has gone from high to low when it comes to pricing and with this change we are looking to go from low to high.”

The first paragraph is a joke.!!

  4. Taken from there site,.

"These are the Terms and Conditions under which you book your cruise holiday and travel on any P&O Cruises product we sell you. You are bound by these Booking & Travel Conditions, so it is important that you read them carefully.

P&O Cruises / We / Our / Us means Carnival plc. You are entering into this contract with carnival plc trading as P&O Cruises"

As our initial booking was made onboard a p+o / carnival owned ship, then all contractual obligations are with carnival plc.!

  5. It states,.

"Your booking has been made on our "early savers (G)" and as a result, you have received a reduced price.

We where told this was price protected.

We have been on many cruises since retiring and been very happy but on this occasion we feel we where "mis-lead"

  6. I find some of the comments a bit insulting, I am fully aware of what I booked and what I was told at the time.

Some of you may think that a difference of £500 each is not worth looking into, (after we had been told we had price protection, with the "early saver) I don't.

I posted this on the site, for advice, not "clever" comments.

I complained direct to the parent company and have just received this direction, via e-mail.

    http://www.carnival.com/request-forms/price-protection-claim.aspx

In the interests of fair play, I will let other members know how I get on.

  7. I feel badly ripped of by P+O having booked there "early saver" for our September cruise, only to find that the price now is £500 less.

I thought there new structures where supposed to protect against this sort of thing.

We booked this onboard our last cruise and where told we were getting a much reduced price, by using the early saver.

Has anyone experienced the same sort of thing or got any advice on how to proceed.

I feel this is blatant mis-selling at best.
