Haha thanks. I think I must have two logins but it has been a while since I've been on as we were already doing more travel with our camper than cruising before Covid started (although I was on a ship they day they were all called home!).  I need to find my other login but that said, I've never been too much of a poster/commenter.

I found myself. Either way I seem to have a thing for lattes. 😇  @Biker19

  2. We've sailed out of Galveston five times. Our first embarkation was fog-delayed and we got to hear the fog horn all the first night as well as on our return. IIRC, we all got $20 credits for "lunch" for the delayed embarkation. We can drive to Galveston so it is the easiest place for us to sail from. When we choose other ports, it's to experience the ship or itinerary or the port just for something different. But Galveston doesn't bother us at all. If we had to fly to Houston and drive to the port, I'd probably feel differently.

  3. Hmmm, my link didn't work. Here is the content:

After a three-year hiatus, Royal Caribbean will return to offering cruises from New Orleans, Louisiana with Vision of the Seas in the winter of 2018-2019. Beginning on December 15, 2018, Vision of the Seas will offer 7-night itineraries to the Bahamas and Yucatan Peninsula.

Before making her way to New Orleans, Vision of the Seas will offer two 16-night sailings through the Panama Canal from Miami to Los Angeles, California. This will be the first time in three years that Royal Caribbean has offered a cruise through the Panama Canal.

Lastly, Mariner of the Seas will call Miami, Florida home in 2018, following a transpacific cruise. Mariner of the Seas will be the first Voyager Class ship to offer short Caribbean sailings. Before she offers cruises from her new home, Mariner of the Seas will undergo an extensive 32-day revitalization. Once back in service, Mariner of the Seas will offer 3- and 4-night itineraries from PortMiami, beginning on June 21, 2018.

Enchantment of the Seas will join Liberty of the Seas in Galveston, Texas, offering 4- and 5-night Caribbean cruises. She arrives in Galveston on June 23, 2018. Guests currently booked on Enchantment for sailings departing Miami after June 23 will be contacted individually to transition the original booking to Mariner of the Seas.

  4. I remember a year ago or so there was talk of them being in some "crates" on board a ship (the mattress softener thingymajigs). I think that is why they quit using them. Now they just seem to use comforters.

I've never had a problem but our daughter has had issues twice, both times in college. Once on a study abroad (at Oxford of all places) and another time at a hotel. I did read recently that they are becoming more resistant to insecticide. It pays to be diligent. I need to up my game a bit.

  5. The dining packages allow you to pick the day and time of the first meal, but not the restaurant. Additional reservations must be made on board. Space permitting, you may be able to change the selection of the first restaurant.

We are trying the BOGO package for nights one and two of an upcoming sailing. Have never done it before. How do we learn what are reservations are and how would we go about trying to change them? Call the reservations extension? We will be on the Anthem, so maybe it will show on the app?

  6. I've had trouble with it over the last few days. Several times while part way through looking at a booking the page wouldn't really load. I copied the URL and used a different browser and then it would work, picking up where it left off on the other browser. No idea whether it was it a cookie issue or a Chrome vs Safari problem.
