Have a wonderful day and trip. Don't let their emergency ruin your perfection..

I have people telling me they are coming but have no job, no money, no plane ticket, and no hotel. And my fave "I plan on flying in the day of the wedding to avoid hotel costs." Arghhhhhhhh
If I take them off and they get there, I will feel bad. If I put them on and they don't come, I will feel bad and broke.

I have made it known, we will have definitive RSVPs by 30 days out or there will not be a spot for them at the ceremony. It makes them make a decision and gives me an alibi if they show up after not giving me a definite answer.

We are getting married on the Sensation in January 2015. This package fits our needs. Has anyone else used this package? Any recommendations or things you did or didn't think to do that you recommend?

What we have decided (I'm the mother of the bride) is that those of us who are sailing will plan a night in the formal specialty restaurant (perhaps that first night) & the bride can leave on her wedding dress, so it will be an "after the reception dinner"
.
As a point of interest, most specialty restaurants give a discount for first night bookings.

I have been wondering the same thing... how the luncheon option is. We have chosen it because we only want our parents and my adult children at the ceremony. Our parents are beyond the age of being interested in the disco and we wanted to give them this as a nice meal and gift. It makes me nervous that you only hear about the hour and hour 1/2 receptions in reviews. ANYBODY????

Hey! I found this link from another poster that was looking at a different ship. Tons of pictures of the Sensation! It also shows the Oak Room (the library) set up for a wedding. This room is SMALL, so it's only for like a max 15 people or so. It also has pics of the Plaza Lounge (the one with the curved booths), Fantasia Lounge (he's taking second floor shots), and Michaelangelo's Lounge (the one with all the naked statues). I belive those are the 4 options you have for the ceremony. I didn't see pictures of the disco, but there was a picture of the piano bar (the one with the HUGE hand at the door) if you opt for the pianist.
Thank you so much for this link. We are getting married on the Sensation in January 2015. Since we have chosen the let us serve you package and plan to have only our parents and my sons at the ceremony the Oak Room will likely be our location. It's good to have an idea beforehand and to be able to share it with my Fiance.

We are having dinner with friends in our hometown and again in Chicago after our return. the plan is to wear our outfits to dinner. So at this point we plan to bring them home. of course that is subject to change if they become complete messes with the wedding and then Dinner that night on the ship.

Check each line to see which ones can offer a marriage at sea. it depends on their registered country of origin. Carnival can only do marriage in port.

I have the price list they sent me. I will definitely keep it in my binder in case I need it later to keep pricing.

I'm getting married on the Sensation in April, 6 weeks from today actually. Let me know if you have any questions. This will be my 3rd time on the ship.
I can't wait to hear your review of the wedding. I've read a few and they all seem mostly positive. We chose the Let us Serve you package so we could have just our parents at the wedding then invited all of our friends and other family to cruise with us.

Thanks so much for sharing! I am getting married on the Sensation next January :)

We were engaged January 31, 2014. We are planning our cruise wedding for January 25, 2015 aboard the Carnival Sensation prior to sailing. So so excited, can't wait to hear how everyone else's experience goes.

Can I ask where you got the lanyards? We are finding it difficult to find somewhere to print a limited number.
