  1. Congrats.

Cozumel - Chankanaab, Mr. Sanchos, rent a vehicle and drive around the island to see the East side, Casa Denis restaurant downtown, Wet Wendy's open air restaurant/bar downtown, Panchos Backyard restaurant downtown and also at the port.

    Roatan - Victor Bodden tours.

Belize - Wet Lizard bar/restaurant at the port.

Costa Maya - Take a cab to the fishing village of Majuhaul -- $3pp going and $2pp coming back. 10 minute ride. Walk the malecon (concrete boardwalk) and check out all the restaurants and shops. Tropicante gets good reviews. We like the 'el Delphin' where we get a whole fried fish, cold drinks and sit in the shade of a palapa. Nice beach. You can see the cruise ships from there.

    Enjoy --

Thank you for the great ideas. I've copied & pasted to my list.

  2. Pride will have a dry dock towards the end of this year so features are the same. I have been on both the Freedom and the Legend and for me, nothing beats the layout of Spirit class ships. We're going on the Pride this New Years because we love the layout so much. Easy to get around, no stadium seating on Lido and NEVER felt crowded!!

If the Pride is schedule for a cruise next February, do you think it'll have the dry dock done?? We've only cruised once before and it was on a Disney ship about 8 years ago.

  3. I'm partial to the Spirit Class ships so I would choose the Pride, especially with the itinerary that includes Grand Turk and HMC. The Spirit Class ships also have the BEST Serenity area IMHO.

You guys are killing me!!! I was leaning toward the Liberty but then you throw the Pride at me *lol* It is actually sailing the Western for this cruise, so it would be Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, Belize & Costa Maya. The Liberty cruise is basically the same itinerary except for Freeport instead of Belize.

  4. My husband and I are planning a cruise for next Feb for our 25th anniversary. We did Disney Magic in 2005 with our kids but am thinking about Carnival for just us. We can do a 7 day with a balcony on Carnival Liberty for almost the same price as a 5 night on Disney Wonder with just a porthole cabin. We loved Disney and thought the service was great. I've read stories about Carnival, good & bad. Any thoughts?
