Did you try verifying your widget solution?  Sorry...too easy.

You may need to get maintenance involved.  This guy sounds like he knows what he's doing, but then so do many people on the Internet:

I saw that post and thank you for sharing. I guess I will ask Royal and see what they say.

Did a little googling. What happens if you plug the ship Ethernet back in?

It sounds like it’s some service on the “smart” tv that’s not happy about not having a network connection.

If the message stays on the screen after you put the tv back the way you found it, I’d put in a service call.

(I’ve only been on Oasis, don’t remember having a problem using alternate HDMI port, brought my own universal remote.)

I've tried with their Ethernet in and out with the same results. I even power cycled both ways as well. I may ask the steward to see if he has a solution but all of this may be by design.

  3. We arrived this morning at 9:25 and dropped our bags and in to our parking spot by 9:30. Very quick and efficient on keeping the traffic separated from those boarding and unboarding.  We went to the terminal entrance and there was a line waiting to get in but it was starting to move. A quick bathroom break and the line was gone.   Checked right in with expedited arrival and were seated in the corral by 9:45. All in all a great experience. Now we wait for boarding!  Bon voyage!

Waiting in the terminal doesn't bother us, but sitting in the car in the garage waiting to drop off luggage and at the same time people are being picked up from the previous cruise does.  It probably took 1/2 hour from the time we entered the garage until we were able to go back around and park. I'd prefer to just pull in and drop off without having to deal with traffic merging from picking up people.   We typically arrive early for cruises but we're rethinking it for this one.  Having been on Oasis and Allure, we've been "wowed" by the large ships and already pretty much know the layout so just as soon want to just board and head to Jamie's.

This is great information and something to think about.  I appreciate your input.  Thanks!

How early can you check your luggage at the port without worrying about checking in?  Breakfast at Grills or Fish Lips sounds great but no desire to lug our bags around with us.

Great question!  I was thinking about doing the same thing so I hope someone will pop in with an answer.

We sailed on the Mariner June 14th cruise and got to the port about 10:20. Quite a few people there at that point. Easy check in on tablet but we had to wait in our assigned area until they let us on at 11:00.

Were they letting you in the door of the terminal at that point?  I'm sure there will be some waiting around but we enjoy the atmosphere.  Thanks for the information!

    Bon Voyage!

What category is your guarantee?  Are you happy with your assignment?

We are in an ocean view balcony.  I was very nervous about the room assignment but it turned out great from what I can tell.  We will see when we get on the ship :).  We are on deck 10 kind of mid ship forward if that makes sense.  I hope you have great luck and your room assignment comes quickly!

  8. We sail on HOTS this Sunday and I was wondering if anyone knows what time they open the doors for embarkation at Port Canaveral.  We sailed out of Miami a few months ago and the doors opened at 9:30.  We want to get there early and don't mind waiting around to board.  Thanks for any info you can provide!
