Thanks for the recent report.  I submitted mine yesterday and got the automatic response saying it might take as much as 21 days.  I'm still 50+ days out, so there is still time.

I also sent mine in on May 4th and have only received the automatic email response saying it may take up to 21 days to process. I happened to look in my account yesterday and the OBC was already in there. I never got an email alerting me my request was accepted. So check your account in the next few days.

I understand you not willing to do a counter offer, but truly do appreciate that you posted this. Have you been monitoring your cruise?  Were Reserve Mini Suites sold out?

I haven't been denied with cruise just around the corner.  I am still holding on with a thread of hope.

Yes, Reserve Mini’s were showing they were sold out about a month ago. But there were quite a few Premium Suites and Penthouse Suites available up until last week, along with quite a few regular mini suites. Some time last week all cabins above inside were posted as sold out, essentially overnight. So I’ve been thinking that there would still be a chance that those in Reserve Minis could bid on the full suites and Reserves could open up.

BTW, I just checked my bid, in my account and it still showed pending. I was able to modify it by adding $5 pp. I moved the dial from weak to fair. Probably won’t make a difference but it was worth a try to me.

One more thing I noticed, all of the suites in my original bid offer have had the starting bid offer reduced a bit. For example, the Premium Suite was from $840 pp in my first email at 85 days from departure and it is now $745 pp.

Just a few reasons to hold out hope on your bid, fingers crossed…

  3. We are about 10 days out from embarkation and I just received an email that says “we have a counter offer for you.” It says they have reviewed my offer and cannot accept it. It was for a Reserve Mini Suite, from a regular Mini, for $160 pp. Which was on the low end of the range I was given for a bid. One of the options I had was to bid on a Penthouse Suite for $990 per person. This “counter offer” was for a Penthouse Suite for $900 pp. Not in the budget, so not gonna happen. Oh well, happy with our Mini.

You accept the terms and agree to make payment when you submit your bid but you credit card isn’t automatically charged when bid is accepted.  Once you are notified you have a winning bid you then pay for it ( either through Personalizer, your TA/PVP or by calling Princess). 😄

The system changed on February 24th, although it doesn’t say that on the bid page. This is what it says now when you open the link that is sent to you, when you receive an email to bid on an upgrade. You have to enter a credit card that will be charged immediately if your offer is accepted.

Of course I don't know if I'd get it at $100/pp for club class, but it's allowing me to bid on it for at 10 Alaska cruise in May.   Would that be worth it to you?   I'm another one that doesn't care for the room locations of Club Class so I didn't bid.   The thought of not having to fight the dining room line does have it's appeal though

Not sure if club class is worth it, except like you said, to avoid the lines. Did you get an offer to bid on a suite?

The coffee package is also covered on that same beverages webpage.  Perhaps you might consider investing in a larger screen monitor for the cell phone?  Scroll down to bottom.

The coffee package is covered but there does not seem to be a new price or any price. Am I missing something?

We are new to ship transfers and not sure if we would have a long wait before leaving for the airport.  Do they wait til full before departing port?  I figured if we did a taxi we could get a head start on the cruise transfer.

You have me worried now, lol. I thought purchasing the transfers helped ensure you make your flight if you are in the window of time Princess recommends. We actually have a flight leaving at noon from SeaTac and the Princess recommendation is for a flight after 11:30 am. So I thought we’d be good. Our flight out was offered through ez air but we booked it independently.

Our cruise is in just a few weeks.  We were in a Mini-Suite and decided take a chance and bid for a Club Class Mini-Suite.  There were two different descriptions for the Club Class Mini-Suite.  One was with the Mini Suite described as forward and with a large balcony that could be windy.  The second description was for another large balcony but aft  We bid $300 and waited.  Today I received notice that our bid was accepted.  The email stated:

    • Your stateroom has a new category – Club Class Mini Suite – and a new number, which you’ll see when you log in to My Princess. (FYI: Staterooms are assigned based on availability.)
    • Of course I rushed to make the payment right away to assure we'd get a good cabin.  Once the payment was made I was given a new cabin number.  Well --- the cabin is no larger than our original Mini Suite ad the balcony might not even be as large as it is described as angled.  In addition to that, this new room is also ADA compliant so no bathtub.  Totally different than what I was led to believe.  So with all of this in mind the only "perk" is Club Class dining and I'm not sure this is at all worth it.  Personally I feel duped.  I doubt I'll ever BID on another room with all of this in mind.

Thank you for your detailed post. Did you bid $300 total or per person? While you may have lost a bathtub, you may have gained more space in your cabin, since it is ADA compliant, walkways and space must accommodate a wheelchair. Also, the angled balconies on Royal class ships are larger and in the middle of the ship, as I understand it. Hope your new cabin and the dining upgrade isn’t too disappointing.

  9. I am planning a trip with my mother and was advised to complete a mobility questionnaire by a Princess sales person, over the phone. She told me to send a request for an wheelchair and the completed questionnaire to Accessofficeprincess@princess.com. I received a receipt with the information including the need for a wheelchair at embarkation and debarkation and there was no charge. Hope this helps.

We are sailing this Saturday. Booked in a grade MA (CC mini suite). Had put in a bid above the minimum for an upgrade to a Penthouse Suite. Just got the email saying bid was not successful. 🥲

Sorry you didn’t get the Penthouse Suite. Hope you have a wonderful cruise and thank you for posting! It’s interesting to follow this thread.

How can you check the inventory?

You can see available cabins if you look on the Princess website and go through a “mock” booking of the sail date you are interested in. You may not be able to see things like how many guarantees are booked and not yet assigned but you can see how many areas of the ship are sold out or show availability.
