Again you are right. Maybe Houstoncruiser2001 just failed to articulate all the reasons why the post was suspect. There were more than one. :D
Right, not all first posts are crap. I didn't mean it like that even though reading it back it sounds like I did.
-
Yes but not all rip the cruise line on their very first post the same day they sign-up. While they're not all suspect, you have to wonder some times. On the Carnival boards there's a member who keeps creating new identities to expound on the wonders of Carnival. The only problem is how many times can you write on your first post that 'Carnival is my family' before someone figures it out.
Exactly. Thank you.

With all due respect EVERY single person that has posted on here had a 1st post at some point, yourself included. That does not make first time posters any less experienced at cruising. Yes agreed some newbies are newbie cruisers, but others are experienced cruisers. To judge solely based on the fact they have 1st post next to their names does not make them clueless.!
You all are missing the point. Sure, we all have had post #1. It's usually, hi...i am a newbie....sorry if this has been asked before "do we use cash on the ship" or "what's a DH?" or "can i bring bottled water?"
Why are these first posts that I am talking about always the same? They always blast something. Why? Because these posters are playing the instigator. They try to start trouble on the board for fun. That's all I am saying.
Legit complaints are legit complaints. These are not legit.
-
Why? Because I have seen alot of these one-time posters get absolutely denigrated by the Royal Caribbean cheerleaders for saying something bad against the Cult.
No, because I think the posts are fake. That's all.

Not a fan of the smaller ships. I'd be leery too.
-
As far as Nassau is concerned, wait at least 1.5 hours after docking (and letting passengers off) to leave. The ship will empty out early, and fill back up when it's meal time (late afternoon).
That's the best thing about a ship docking in port. You don't have that craziness that happens when you are waiting for tenders. Just get off when you want to get off, just let the mad dash thin out a little first.
-
i just take an over the counter motion pill before I get on the ship. I'll take a couple more the first few hours onboard. I watch what I eat right off the bat and go easy on the drinking until i get my sea legs. After that i'm good to go unless the ship is really rocking. And, if it's really rocking even half the crew is sick. Not fun.

Flame away at me. This isn't my first post.
All i'm saying is that 9 out of 10 first posts are about some horrible ordeal that the OP suffered through and couldn't wait to sign up with Cruise Critic and share their horror story with us all. Then they disappear off into the depths of cyberspace never to be heard from again.
What are the odds of that?
You have to take those posts with a HUGE grain of salt.

Belize is a tender port, I think that's what they were referring to. :)

Right, the ships anchor way way way offshore. It's peaceful on the ship
out there. Tenders will get you to port quickly. Hang on to your hat!!
-
It always seems to come early for us when we do order it.
-
Apparently the OP was not looking for help.
He wanted to complain, found "Cruise CRITIC" in a google search, registered, blasted away, and left.
All you really need to know is that the OP has never posted before. Every time I see "post 1" i know it's gong to be a bunch of crap.

*LIKE*
Some people here immediately think that someone is going to show up in overalls or a bathing suit and a wife beater , because they say they want to dress casually.
I think they do..........on Carnival. :D
-
MSC entertainment far exceeds the entertainment on Carnival, or any other ship that I've been on. Sharecruises is about right about the variety and number of performers; plus they all do their performing amazingly well.
The only show we've ever walked out on in 12 cruises was on the Carnival Magic.

Jeans can be very comfortable on the ship at night in the Caribbean. I have worn them many times. Daytime in the Caribbean, no.:D
Sherri:)
Comfortable? Um, not for me. Seems all mine have gotten a tad tight.

My wife dresses up all seven nights. If that is what makes her happy then i am happy. The least i can do is to try to not look like a slop hog sitting next to her for a couple of hours. We usually stay dressed for the evening too, but I don't care what others have on. To each their own.

Been on Oasis twice, but was on Voyager three times and am going on Navigator next week. Also have been on Rhapsody.
Nothing compares to the Oasis class. By far it's our favorite class of ship. That being said, we enjoy the Voyager class and hope to sail a Freedom class in the near future. I can not see returning to Vision or Radiance class, however.

Had vendor trouble at Fosters myself. A nice no thank you didn't seem to work so I finally had enough and flipped out.
-
The vendors are pretty bad on Roatan.

Cruisetrail has NEVER cruised on MSC and I would be VERY careful about what he says.
I just love how cruisetrail trolls these boards and can't resist to post what they post then someone comes in right behind them and squishes them like a bug.

Here you go; an image of a balcony on the aft Of Divina, not sure whether it is deck 10 or 11, but there won't be a great deal of difference between the two
Pete
Sweet, I have cabin 10279 later in the year.

I'm totally cracking up at your posts of all the varied responses about hot/cold pools! It doesn't appear that ANYBODY knows what their talking about when it comes to that subject...LOL Probably have to take our chances, and hope for decent temperature water.
I'd say prepare for cold, hope for warm. Most pools I've ever been in on a ship have been on the chilly side. You can't just stick a toe in, get in all at once.
-
Ah, so you are the creepers that keep staring at me and my family from your cabin window as we are walking around on the promenade. :D
Another thing I didn't like about my PR cabin......my DW could see me sitting at the pub.
-
I personally did not like our PR cabin. I would choose a balcony any day of the week. The PR cabin seemed slightly smaller, as if the cabins aren't small enough already and the people watching doesn't beat the fresh air and wave watching of a balcony.

You can Lysol your room all that you want to. However, if you spray it in a public space and especially in an enclosed space such as an elevator, it then becomes a security issue. There are many people including me who find the smell of Lysol annoying.
DON
I dislike the smell of it.
I also don't get the "let's disinfect everything i might touch" mentality.
What Video Should We Shoot Aboard Divina?

I'd say the crowd or non-crowd at the Garden Pool. Kids, no kids? I guess the whole Garden Pool area. Seems like a nice place to hang out.
Thanks again, in advance.
