I know, but people were questioning why they didn't receive a robe in a post the other day, and I was too lazy too look for the post, so just pasted the remark from the website when I saw it [emoji6]

I've seen some questions regarding robes for Platinum and above lately on the boards - just saw this on RCI's website
WORLD WILDLIFE FUND ROBE BENEFIT UPDATE
To support World Wildlife Fund’s water conservation initiatives, robes for Platinum guests and above will now be available upon request. Visit Guest Services or your Loyalty Ambassador onboard for more information.

By 1:30pm most passengers have either boarded the ship or are waiting to board. So it makes sense for cruise line buses and shared shuttle van companies to stop supporting incoming flights after say 1pm to 1:30pm.
We looked in the past at shuttles for MCO that wouldn't' pick up at the at the airport after 1:00. We were coming in on a Friday, so people boarding the ship that day wasn't the issue......

We sat outside and had JR's for breakfast one morning our last cruise, it was great!

We usually head back to the cabin around 1:00 a.m. My DH sleeps in, but I'm always up to watch us pull into port. I usually sleep on and off day and night for a couple of days when I get home, have to have a couple of days off after the cruise to recuperate from the vacation [emoji1]

I never book online, I call and book directly with an agent at RCL. There have always been more cabins available that way. I think they only release a certain number at a time online.

This is how I check, and it always seems to work. The rooms are staggered, 1 room has the bed by the balcony, the next room has the bed by the closet. If you find the closest set of rooms that have an adjoining door, and if you were standing in the hall looking at the rooms, the adjoining room on the right has the bed by the balcony. Just count from there every 2nd room to your room to see if the beds by the balcony.

Sorry double post

Just looked for January 2018, and the cost of a cabana on Nellie's beach is $294, the cost of a beach bungalow is $327 [emoji15]. Shouldn't the cabana be more then the bungalow? I know that we pay a little more because it's Canadian dollars, but $100 more then what people have mentioned on this thread?

That is so unfortunate for you! I feel a better stance RCL should take is to allow to charter an entire smaller ship if they want special considerations. It's not fair to close venues, inconvenience 5-6000 passengers that have paid the same amount for their cruise as anyone else for I'm assuming a couple of hundred in a group. I would not be happy either!

When I originally answered the question, it was specifically for St. Thomas. I only know that whenever we have ported there we have remained on ship time, they make it a very big point to tell you to stay on ship time, not the islands - I wasn't aware of any changes.

Not necessarily - I have been on several Caribbean cruises from US East Coast - some did change time - others didn't as explained by leaveitallbehind
We've always left from Florida or Galveston and they always told us that you stay on ship time in St Thomas. I guess others are right, it's best you ask your roll call or RCI to be sure.

You always stay on ship time, which is the time zone of the embarkation port.

Where are the cold fruit soups? I and others I know will not be happy to hear that they all disappeared :(
I have the cold soup every night for appetizer, you're right - I'm not happy [emoji19]

Sometimes it depends on location, we like to be on the hump so get the larger balcony.

We love Johnny rockets for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, home fries and toast - great diner breakfast!!

There is a full bathroom off the bedroom, as well as a separate sink in the bedroom, and a counter with a small sink between the rooms.

Maybe we are different. We like to watch TV in the morning when we get up. It may play in the background as we are getting up and dressed for breakfast. We come back to the cabin to getting ready for dinner, and generally turn on the TV. Then as we go to bed, we will turn it on for a bit...
Is this really different from others....
We usually turn the TV on when we're getting ready for dinner, etc. as well, but it doesn't really matter what's on, just background noise. I actually prefer it not being anything interesting, otherwise I'd be in my cabin hooked on the show or movie that was on, LOL!

I always use an online TA and have 100% control of my booking.
I can do the same things as you except I don't need to sit on hold for 45 min.
But then again, I don't wake up at 3AM and suddenly need to changed cabins.
I have never waited 45 minutes on hold for Royal Caribbean, and never had to wait for a TA to get back to me with an answer either....we always book the cruise before, get a OBC for the cruise I'm on and the one I'm booking, as well as a reduced deposit. When I go home, I just change it to whatever cruise I want if I'm undecided about the one I've booked. I've never seen better pricing then booking as soon as the cruise opens, and never had any problems booking directly through RCI

Some of us (like me) are control freaks when it comes to their bookings and the perks are not worth (for me) losing control of them ;);)
I'm the same way, like to have control [emoji1][emoji572]

Just goes to show you how much the staff changes from year to year - we were on Allure last January, and the bunch of us spent every night at the bow and stern - the place was packed every night! When we were on Allure I ended up avoiding Sabors, there would be only 2 or 3 people there and you would still wait forever to get served! Glad to hear the staff at Sabors have picked up speed, sorry to hear the pub isn't as good as it was though.
