Thanks for the responses. I think the inflatable booster is the way to go (I guess I never knew that was a thing). Then it would be pretty easy to just Uber from Caribbean beach to the cruise port.

Unless the shuttle provides a car seat you will need to bring one - can you 5 year old use a booster seat? There are inflatable models that do not take up much room. The airline will check any car seat for free if you choose not to use it on the flight.
You could take Disney transport back to MCO to catch any of the shuttles listed above, or rent a car one way from WDW to PC area.
She would be fine in a booster, but in Florida car seats are not required for shared transportation (like a shuttle). I didn’t want to drag the car seat along onto the ship, which is why I was looking for some sort of shuttle service.
Disney doesn’t offer transportation anymore, so I would have to take sunshine fliers back to the airport and would like to avoid that if possible.

Starting to plan our trip for next June. We are staying at Disney for 5 nights prior to our cruise on adventure if the seas. Is there a shuttle service that picks up at Disney resorts? We are traveling with a 5yo and would like to avoid having to bring a car seat (if we had to use Uber). Any suggestions?

What sailings are everyone waiting to be released?
Hoping for a cruise out of San Juan summer 2024

Rhapsody is probably going to be in San Juan from May 2024 through at least April 2025. Explorer will probably start her longer cruises in November 2024 until at least April 2025 as she is in Europe summer 2024.
Gotcha. Thank you! That test cruise you posted of the 10 night looked enticing, but won’t be doable because my wife is a teacher. Hopefully the rhapsody comes to fruition as San Juan is our favorite home port.
thanks again

Test sailings are up.
Odyssey to Cape Liberty
Oasis in Fort Lauderdale for 6/8 nighters
Rhapsody in San Juan starting in June, and I assume will continue through winter
Jewel in Galveston. 9 night itinerary is showing
Explorer on longer cruises from Miami
Radiance in Tampa for 7 nighters
Brilliance in NOLA for 7 nighters
Will post more if I find any
Sorry for the silly question, but I am a rc newb. Are you saying you believe rhapsody will be out of San Juan and explorer out of Miami on long cruises starting summer 2024?

We love going out of San Juan. Flying in early, the great itineraries, the lively cruisers, etc. Unfortunately we can only cruise in the summer as my wife is a teacher. We miss San Juan cruises.

Taking months to release all Dates is Normal. I usually Book one the Last of these in April-May
Ahh gotcha. I will continue to look and switch my booking if something else opens up. Looking out of pc so we can take the little one to universal studios pre cruise.

Are they slowly releasing itineraries? Was hoping for an itinerary to the abc’s similar to shat the Mariner of the seas has been doing. Settled for the adventure in room 1864 June ‘24. Any rumblings out there for deployments out of PC?

That’s the thing, never got a certificate. They gave us the cert numbers but we never received the certificates. Maybe because we booked through Costco as our ta (which we won’t do again).

Anyone have experience with future cruise credit? My wife and I were supposed to cruise this June but we are expecting our first child this October, so we had to cancel. They graciously gave our deposit back as a future cruise credit to be used within 2 years. Now do you have to book and sail within 2 years? Or only book within 2 years? I called royal and they had differing stories so I was curious on personal experience on this.

Thanks! Will have to get a taxi and check some stuff out. Just wanted to take it easy on the babymoon

My wife is pregnant and we are traveling on the carnival freedom mid April. We will be traveling to key west, Nassau and Freeport. Do these ports (in the Bahamas in particular) have places near port that you can walk to and explore? We didn’t want to do anything too adventurous so any ideas would be great!

Its not, unless the passport is less than 1 year old at the time of the name change.
To OP - A passport or birth certificate with previous name + Drivers License + Marriage certificate (bridging document) is what is needed.
Thank you! The lady at carnival made it sound like we could change the passenger name to her maiden name and then just passport would be fine. Relayed that to the wife, and she wasn’t having any of it. I already know not to argue with a pregnant woman!

You can pay for expedited passport service or regular passport renewal would be 6 weeks. Check US State Dept website for details.
I only use use my passport so that is my frame of reference.
Congrats on your good news!!!
Thanks! we've been trying and of course she gets pregnant right after I book a cruise to the ABC islands from our favorite port of san juan. The whole government shutdown has me leery about that, especially because they take the old passport when you apply for the new one.
-
Changed name. I called carnival (surprised they were still taking calls at this hour) and they said if it is booked with current name, she could bring passport as well as marriage license and that would work.
-
What type of documentation does my wife need to cruise? We were married last June, she changed her name and has a new ID with that name. Her passport is in her maiden name (was going to update it before our cruise this June but surprise, she's pregnant so we bumped it up to april) as is her birth certificate (obviously). What does she need to bring to cruise?

What with drivers off cruise ships renting cars & driving on unfamiliar roads & driving rules , I would question the safety of riding in a golf cart on a road meant for cars & trucks . JMVHO
Ehh no biggie. We did the mad max tour in st. kitts and felt safe the entire time. Loads of fun and would do again in a heartbeat!

I had booked it, but they canceled it pretty last minute. Good thing, took an amazing dune buggy tour instead!

I just got El Convento through Hotwire for my November cruise. It was pretty obvious, because it's the only 4 1/2 star in the OSJ area as far as I can tell.
What was the price?

Depends on itinerary...thats whats most important to me anyhow.
