Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We've got 2 30 inch Enkloze, a Samsonite 32inch and a Enkloze 28 inch, plus 2 cabin cases as well. Its more the height from the carpet to the bed base and whether these cases of ours will fit. From the photo's above I think it will be tight. Thanks.
  2. Thanks that would be appreciated. Sounds like they are Euro Plugs, so I'll have to get 2 of them if so, then I can hook up a power board to them and we'll be all good.
  3. Speaking of luggage, can large suitcases fit under the King Size or Twin Beds. We're on a long oversea's journey of several countries, different climates, so we may have 4 Large Suitcases plus 2 Cabin as well. Hope to fit them all into our Balcony Cabin.
  4. Out of interest and need, what type of power plug are the bedside table lamps on the Queen Elizabeth. For CPAP. Thanks
  5. Decades ago I did exchange with the US Navy, being Aussie the Americans had a slight problem with our slang that we used when on the Tactical Net 🤣
  6. Just rechecked indeed we have been charged the US $67.50 which is a bit cheaper for us poor Aussies 🙂
  7. The Cunard drink package for beer, wine, spirits and other drinks is currently US $70 per day (cruises over 5 days). The 39 night cruise between Japan, Alaska and Canada, May June 24, comes to US $5460 for 2 people. That comes to Australian $8,353 presently given our Aussie is only worth some US 65 cents presently. That's a pretty hefty sum of money and one where you really have to think about value for your dollar at $107 Australian per day per person. Still by the time you've had a couple of wines or beers, 3-4 spirits, 3 coffee's, some soft drink and/or water you'd be close to that US 70 or AUD 107 especially if you include the 15% Grat per drink if you don't do the package.
  8. Well if its accurate and reliable I'll use it. Has to be better than queuing up......Thanks.
  9. While in various parts of Alaska and British Columbia, what is the best type of Walking Boot to wear? High Cut, Mid Cut or Low Cut?
  10. Have Cunard updated their IT shipboard systems enough to show your cabin account on the television? No more having to go to the Reception or Purser's Office to see what you've spent.
  11. The last time we cruised Cunard was the 2014 World Cruise. Back then no drinks package, you paid for everything. From memory if you had 5-6 wine or spirits, 2-3 coffee's and a couple of soft drinks or waters per day, it added up significantly plus the 15% grat. So if one was to do the same today and we will be shortly on the QE, it makes good sense to take the package unless one of you in the cabin doesn't drink.
  12. Yep and that's what we've just brought, stunning, will have to be extremely careful bringing them on the aircraft and then on to the ship et al.
  13. Sounds excellent. We're in 7136 in just a few weeks.
  14. A White Dinner Jacket is perfect for Ice White. White Bowtie though not Black 😀
  15. Have to say as a former Royal Australian Navy Officer so I will be using a Cumberbund because that's RAN and RN tradition. I'm lucky I've got both Black and White Dinner Suits, so I'm covered for Ice White, Roaring 20's, Black & White, Masquerade. The Red Gold night, I'm good also. More of a question is what do the ladies wear on these nights if they wish to go formal?
