It makes no difference, whatever side you pick it will be the wrong side.

Bed should be by the balcony as that cabin is in between two sofa bed cabins which typically has those sofas by the balcony.
Thanks

No, just like not everyone has a mobile device - some version of the old style muster drill must still be available.
Thanks, do you think 2 people traveling together can share the same device?

Interactive quiz to see if you paid attention.
All ships do not have interactive TV's, does anyone know if they going to refit all ships with them?

Come on Royal.
Your repositioning cruise itineraries stink. Just checked for 2021.
Too few port. Too many sea days.
You are making this D+ and stockholder book on NCL.
Sea days are why I book a cruise.

Most likely "restrictions" in many venues. Maybe masks. In other words, making ships a place many won't choose to be except the most die hard of cruisers. We are borderline die hard cruisers, but not enough to wear masks or put up with many restrictions. We'll move on to other travel in that case.
What will you do if other travel also has similar "restrictions"?

I think MSC will be the big survivor.

My parents are still waiting for their refund for an early April cruise. Last week the Government of Canada opened up emergency benefits for people who lost their jobs due to Covid and in a lot of cases payments were made same day. Upwards of 1 million people applied in the first week (last week) and pretty much all have already gotten payments. No reason a large corporation can't give speedy refunds if a Government can dole out money fast.
The reason is they don't want to.🤯

I didn't know that we were talking about permanent conversions. I thought the subject was temporarily using a cruise ship as a hospital. Of course you can gut a cruise ship and turn it into anything you want, for the right price and if you have enough time, but it isn't going to return to being a cruise ship.
If you can convert it one way you could convert it back.😌

Completely different animal from a presently functioning cruise ship.
Agreed, but these ships were originally converted supertankers so why can't you convert a cruise ship.

And what was considered appropriate medical care in the era of WW I and WW II is hardly equivelent to standard if practice in 2020.
So you don't think the US Navy Hospital Mercy-class ships can provide appropriate medical care?

Why is everyone acting like cruise lines are offering use of ships to the US govt for free? There will be a charter contract just like any time a cruise line has provided beds. That is why the prices jumped. That's guaranteed cash flow
You have proof of this?
