I just ran into my student and his mom on the lobby stairs right by Jameis. Super nice chat. 
 

When it ended, he did air quotes and said “ok Mr. S, enjoy your ‘coke’”

Fake Jameis is back. I never miss a chance to get in on some steel drums. On Regal Princess they had a steel drum class. I might do that next time I’m in the sea witch’s embrace

I’ll be there! My balcony will pass by the Statue of Liberty on the way in, so I’m planning on wrapping up early the last night and getting up very early to catch it!

This ship is making me wonder what the Costa Excel ships look like. I’m gonna need to watch a ship tour on YouTube when I get home.

Ahhhh, Guest Services as it should be

Got off the elevator with two very short (that’s relative here, I’m not height shaming) men about 20-30 years apart and a 20 something college kid. The younger man rested his hand on the older man’s shoulder, and the young guy, after exchanging pleasantries, says “Happy Pride! Great place to ring it in!”

he was clearly just an awkward dude being earnest and trying to be sweet, but guys…. They were absolutely father and son. I instantly became a combination of Larry David and Homer Simpson retreating back into the bushes at the back of the elevator…
