Found out later last night it was a pipe somewhere in the area of the sky lounge.
There was a big bang and then the water started pouring out of the ceiling over the band area. There were only a few people up there at that point as it was at the end of a Captain’s Club event. The staff rushed us out.

If we already have a reservation booked in our planner for an Open Seating Dining on the Beyond at 7 pm, will that prevent me from booking a 6:30 reservation at Eden? I don’t want to cancel the 7 pm in Normandie on that night until I am sure I will get the 6:30 Eden. The availability is showing on the planner, but it will not allow the reservation to be finalized. Thanks!

Thank you! They are still inflated and attached to the ceiling. One deflated and the cabin attendant took it away. I’m not sure what he did with it. I haven’t noticed any other balloons.
Thanks so much for replying. I have a very severe Latex allergy so the balloons are a concern for me.

The retreat staff also brought me a bottle of champagne to the Retreat Sundeck today and our butler, Reggie, and stateroom attendant, Frankie, decorated our room tonight with balloons
Happy Birthday. Can I ask you what you did (or will do) with the balloons to dispose of them? Have you noticed many other balloons around the ship? Thanks.

Thanks! It did seem too good to be true when I called X and the rep said I would get the Elite discount off the pre sale price on board…

Which rate worked out the best? If you booked pre-cruise did they allow you to reprice on board?
-
And we had our plans changed for us…Air Canada canceled our MIA flight. Not sorry, back to flying our of FLL. Much easier.

Is it best to go to the regular taxi line and take a taxi or arrange for a “pre-arranged” shuttle service. Will the regular taxi give a flat rate from Port Everglades to MIA? I know many use the “ride share” companies, but we do not so looking for other suggestions. Thanks.

Yes I know a dear friend that was contract traced the last day of a cruise on Summit about a month ago and she was denied to continue on the B2B. She was with us on our last B2B cruise and was masked up and keeping social distanced on the first cruise for sure.
Well, I think we are going to cancel the first of our b2b. I don’t want to have to worry about not making our suite cruise. Too much stress.

The protocol for B2B is that if you are identified as in close contact to a person that tested positive you are confined to your cabin until you pass 2 covid tests over 2 days. You are then required to weara a mask anytime outside your cabin even if tested negative. You are also not permitted to continue on to the B2B even if you tested negative. Good reason to keep your distance from others on the first cruise and possibly avoid ships tours.
Do you know of any instances where this actually happened? It seems extreme that the passenger would be prevented from the the next cruise after testing negative a number of times.

Don't forget, (excluding contracted groups) if you booked in a group with your TA.
I am not sure what you mean. Are TA group bookings not included in this change to 60 days?

It was fun to think about our first Celebrity cruise! I was awarded it by my Canadian financial institution. The entire ship was filled with my coworkers. It was an awesome experience! We have sailed Celebrity many times since (including another award sailing). Even for 1 point, this Power Up made me smile!

Happy it all worked out for you Russ with the testing. What was your plan if anyone in your travelling party tested positive?

I am still looking for insurance coverage for Canadians that will cover hotel/expenses if you test positive while you are in the US and unable to fly home or unable to board a ship.
I have just called Sunlife as we have both PSHCP and DB employee plans and I was told we are covered for medical needs (ie hospital, physician) with regard to covid BUT NOT hotel/expenses if we cannot fly home. That could be a huge expense.- 1

So i got the rapid antigen test from shoppers, I do not have covid so I am good to get on the plane. It took 15 mins and they stick the swab pretty far up your nose.
It is not fun! Can you tell me which Shoppers you went to please, by the Mall or South Georgetown?

One more picture request please. If you have a picture of the balcony and wake from your daughter’s cabin. We had yours but with Lift & Switch we had to move to 8312.

How can I get a call back? I have been on hold for hours with just the long Celebrity commercial playing in my ear.
-
Ahhh. I have used Flights by Celebrity a few times and always had great service. Today I noticed, while checking the carrier website, that the flight times have changed drastically! No notice from Celebrity. I gave up on the call to them to change my flights after over two hours on hold. Although, ,listening to the recorded message, I know how much they should be supporting me....

Yep. Nothing new there. Past PUPs you were able to change the CC number for the person(s) not receiving the PUP offer. Some of us only use one Email address. 😉 Anyway...
I have not read all pages of this thread so this may have already been posted, however, I did just look at DH’s points balance on his Celebrity sign in page. He does not regularly receive the emails and certainly has not participated in the activities as often as I do. We have have exactly the same amount of points.
This statement was on his points page:
Club Points indicated on this page may include points earned from a spousal or partner relationship in place.
There have been actives we have both completed, but my sign in does not have the statement posted. I think we have only received the points for activities once, even when we both participated.

Regarding our September 28, 202 Silhouette sailing, I cancelled shore excursions and dining via online Cruise Planner on March 23, received full refund on my credit card today. I cancelled the cruise on March 30 and also received full refund of our $960 Canadian Refundable Deposit also today on my credit card. I did not call Celebrity, my TA or Credit Card company.

We were on the Infinity, cabins on the same deck, on the same side of the ship but a fair distance apart. We thought we had worked well with the cabin stewards. Going forward I will just feel more comfortable packing everything and just have the luggage moved.

I know all experiences are different, but our last b2b change over day was anything but painless. Many issues but the worst was the previous stateroom attendant running down the hall with a sweaty armful of our closet contents and throwing them on the bed in the new cabin. I plan to repack my belongings in my luggage for change over to avoid that happening again.

What if the NRD you originally booked with is not the same as the current NRD offer? I have a NRD of $25 per person but the lower priced offers now are $960 NRD
Anytime Dining Reservations…Bookings in Different Currencies

In our experience, even with the reservations linked, due to the two different currencies we were unable to book any dining reservations together, even for Anytime Dining. Just book for approximately same time and then speak with the Maître’d on board. We have never had an issue.
