If she’s docked overnight, does that possibly offer options to stay on board longer?

The Equinox is booked for a charter starting January 9th so there will likely not be any options to stay on board. The passengers on the charter will be boarding at normal boarding times.

Does anyone know what Equinox is doing after the 1/4/2020 cruise? I tried to Google charters but found nothing. We wanted to consider a B2B but can't find the second B!

The entire ship is chartered during those dates for the annual convention cruise for a major Canadian Financial Institution.

  3. There is much discussion regarding the reduction of single-use plastic by cruise lines. I would like to ask when Celebrity Cruises will follow the lead of other cruise lines to eliminate the use of balloons on on all Celebrity ships. Latex balloons are a significant environmental danger. They are often released by passengers from open decks and balconies where they contribute to the pollution of our oceans.

In addition, there are also many passengers with a life threatening allergy to latex. A  balloon drop in the atrium, enjoyed by a few passengers, can result in hours or days of medical attention needed to overcome the health impact of latex particles floating in the air, on furniture, carpets and curtains. No amount of cleaning by the staff can eliminate the latex particles after a few hundred balloons have been bounced around and broken for a few minutes of “fun”. The air on the ship is circulated and so are the latex particles.

I hope Celebrity Cruises will consider both the environmental impact and the health and safety of the passengers and eliminate the use of balloons on all Celebrity ships immediately.

  4. Thanks again Jill for the wonderful review and for the information others have added! We sail in July on the Brilliance and I am wondering if we need to have pound currency available for use in Scotland and England? I believe Ireland uses the euro? I don’t like using my credit card for small purchases nor do I like to use foreign ATMs. I am able to get a slightly preferred rate for foreign currency before I leave Canada, so I just need to know what currency to purchase to take along. Also Jill, you mentioned you pre-purchased The Dublin Pass, would you recommend doing this? We are just about duplicating your travels! Maybe you should come on the trip again in July and be our tour guide. We live just outside Toronto, so we could pick you up on our way to Pearson!!

  5. The website LOOKS pretty today. It lists all of my previous cruises, but I am still somehow pre-gold. Must be some new system of counting, huh?

I had the same issue and called Crown & Anchor. I was instructed to sign in, go my MY Account, settings, change my birthday date to a different date, save, sign out, wait a few minutes. Signed back in, all fixed, my status was correct, and then I corrected my birthday. Hope it works for you.

  6. I wish [emoji14] . We paid $125 each for 4 days as posted. Then since we were talking to the person at silk harvest he offered us a 5th night at silk harvest at a total price of $35 rather than $35 each.

Do these fees cover the regular gratuity at the specialty restaurants or will there be additional gratuity charged to your account?

  7. We had connecting cabins on the Reflection 7326 and 7328. There were two interior doors (inside the cabins) to connect the cabins, just across from the bathroom door. We never heard any noise or talking through the door. My brother and SIL were next door and we only really ever opened the doors when we were ready to head out for dinner. We did have the balcony divider opened by the steward.

  8. We did take the Select Package on the Allure. There are "house Reds" available at all bars which far into the under $8.00 category. They are not listed on the Menu. The Pinot Grigio on the menu was ok. The beer selection was great. Also available was Mike's Hard Lemonade (although sometimes out of stock at a particular bar) Smirnoff Ice and Strongbow cider.

We enjoyed the simplicity of the package, although we probably broke even. It was nice to get a drink while waiting for shows to start and we loved the Rising Tides Bar.

Just keep on the lookout for lipstick on the wine glasses and if you a not adding an additional tip, be sue to indicate on the receipt you must sign.

We had a great trip on our "test" RCCL cruise.

  9. Hey Celebrity Spa-goers!,

Here’s a questions for you (from my wife to be)….

We’ll be on the Celebrity Constellation in March. We are having a Beach Wedding in the Bahamas.

On the day of the wedding, she was wondering if the spa can do her makeup (I assume they do hair, too)?

There is no posted Spa menu, currently online (pending the new Spa owners in late March).

Does anyone know…and if so…how to make the appointment?

    Thanks!

    Dwayne
