why such a strong tilt toward FLA beer sceneif sailing out of a different port ( not Miami )will the beer list list represent  a list reflective of location. for example alaska =northwest and alaska beer, california west coast and mexico.

I hope so, because this is one of the most uninspiring beer selections for a "brewhouse" I've seen in ages. We're on Encore in June and I'm hoping they have some Seattle, Alaskan and perhaps Canadian choices.

Lawyers are also trained to name anyone remotely connected to the incident in the suit and let the matter of ultimate culpability be decided by the court.

A lot of people call this the shotgun approach. You roll up everybody in one suit, fire a shotgun and see who it hits in the spread. Courts/Judges will decide ultimately who is culpable. The judge may even remove RCCL from the suit after their lawyers get a chance to speak before the court. They may not. This is all normal.

  3. For Vegan you really need to have RCCL assist you or eat only steamed veggies and fruit. Very difficult to do on your own without assistance. Even honey is taboo.

Honestly, unless there are cultural or religious reasons for going vegan, from a dietary perspective, you're walking into a buzzsaw. And enhancing the wealth of Big Supplements and run the risk of many charlatans and health scammers. So know your options and restrictions based on your land experience before cruising.

Vegetarian is easier and lacto-vegetarian can allow meat products like broths and milk and cheese and some practitioners will eat seafood.

Being vegan (and having been vegetarian prior to that for years), I'm well aware of the restrictions. It's the options onboard RCCL I'm exploring. I'm familiar with Disney's excellent accommodation of vegan dietary restrictions/needs, but RCCL is a new experience.

  4. I'm glad to find this thread, and especially the menu pictures. I've been exploring vegan options for our December Oasis cruise and am finding it to be difficult. This is my first RCCL cruise (I'm a long-time Disney regular and know their ways to assist) so I'm not very familiar with the willingness of the kitchen to accommodate. Vegetarian is so much easier to maintain. I'm just doing my research and reading everything I can. Having worked in the service industry for a long time, the last thing I want to do is be a pain in the butt to servers and kitchen staff.

  5. They can move stations even week to week.

This is true. Most cruise ships have their bartenders rotate from bar to bar depending on the week. Sometimes tenders can swap with others if they don't want to work a certain bar (Some bartenders hate working outside, or hate working a round bar, while others may prefer it).

  6. They broke the site between two days ago and today. I just tried to access to find out payment totals for our Dec. Oasis trip. Nothing. I had to act like I was going to PIF then add the original deposit amount to the amount show to figure out if they've lowered the price on our room. They have by $305. I can't see room numbers or category for our reservation though, and the emails they sent me when we booked are about as helpful as the Quick Start pamphlets you get when you get a new computer.

  7. My wife and I are going on the Crown Princess in a month and she's pregnant so naturally we want to avoid the smoking areas. I don't think we will be spending much time in the nightclub due to it being a New York to Quebec City cruise, however we do plan on being in the Casino, theatre, and other areas. Any insight on what to avoid would be appreciated.

My experience on the Crown last year was that the smoke was *thick* in the casino, and you could smell it outside the casino for a good distance.

  8. We were on the Crown in May/June in a deck 8 Vista suite. We could smell cigarettes from the starboard aft smoking area at times, but not enough to really complain about. It wasn't a regular problem. I'll always cruise at least Vista if I'm on Princess. It was a fantastic room, even if the steward wasn't the greatest.

  9. That was from Tortola.

That's strange. When we were on the M/Y Nadine we went from St. Thomas to St. John. From there we went to JVD, Norman Island, Virgin Gorda, Sandy Cay, Peter Island, Congo and Lovango Cays, back to St. John and then disembarked in St. Thomas for the return home. The only times we had to go through customs were at Great Harbour in JVD as we entered the BVI and then St. John when we returned to the USVI. There is no reason you should have to go through customs/immigration/etc. coming from Tortola to JVD. You're in the same territory.

  10. I just googled JVD water taxi transfers, and from the listings there is an operator that will charter a boat for you, but it is from St Thomas, so going from USVI to BVI and requires customs clearance.

I wonder if the OP did not notice it was from St Thomas to JVD, not Tortola?

OP, is this the water taxi page?

  11. If you're traveling from Tortola you shouldn't have any reason to clear customs in JVD, as you're already in the BVI.

That said, I'd rather a shuttle to Great Harbour than White Bay. I would prefer to hang out at Foxy's than Soggy Dollar any day of the week.

  12. I trust you are not in concierge where you will get robes to use for the cruise.

The one for sale thru Disney Store on line looks like the concierge robes. They are very nice' date=' satin with terry lining, yummy.

The ones for sale in the gift shop on board are not as nice as the concierge robes.

    [/quote']

The ones we bought in the gift shop on board were *exactly* the same as the ones in our Concierge room. That's why we bought them.

  13. The newer birthday buttons look different now. They're still smaller than the park pin. I literally had one of our cruise birthday buttons in my hand about 5 minutes ago.

  14. But if you hate beaches' date=' you can stay on the ship and basically have your own private yacht for the day! And yes, we did it once.[/quote']

If we don't have a cabana we go ashore for a drink and souvenirs and then head back to the boat. Our own private resort and all the AquaDuck we can handle.

  15.

We sale the Dream again in January and our priority will be to map out how to avoid the children's play area as it is extremely loud.

We tend to transit via either Deck 10 or Deck 4 to avoid the family pool deck on the Dream and Fantasy. We just walk the hallways or Promenade until we get to the area of the elevator bank we need. We'll even leave the Cove on Deck 11, go down to 10, walk all the way aft and take the elevator or stairs back up to 12 if we want to go to Meridian. We find the Promenade deck to be our favorite, to be honest, though. Easy to access the Deck 4 adult areas and the aft elevators get us up to 12 to the adult area as well.

  16. Ignore the pictures of the ones with Castaway Challenge on them. Those are specifically for the PAID (full) 5K done on the island on the cruise after marathon weekend in January.

I could have bought a Castaway Challenge shirt at She Sells in February, FWIW. Obviously it was leftover stock, but it was available.

  17. On the Dream there is a separate lounge for this, on the Magic/Wonder there wasn't and it was in the nightclub area (maybe there is now?)

When the Wonder comes out of dry dock this time they're expected to have a Concierge Lounge like the Magic got on their last dry dock.

  18. Are you allowed to bring bottle beer onboard or does it have to be cans? I love Carib beer and would like to purchase some to drink after stopping at our first stop.

I'm not sure where your first stop is, but if you are going to be in St. Thomas and don't mind walking a bit, there's a gas station/deli/convenience store up Rumer Rd. toward K-Mart that has slightly better prices than the liquor stores in Havensight Mall. I enjoyed the walk, to be honest. It was nice to get away from most of the cruise ship denizens and walk where mostly locals walk.
