We are also on this cruise with you! Can't wait! Will enjoy seeing what you post and your pictures! I saw somewhere recently that Queen Mary 2 & a Norweigian ship will be in dock also, so I'm thinking that's why we need to move before boarding. As long as they come back for us, we're good! lol See you Sunday!

I agree I'd rather see the serving stay....definately more sanitary. Although there are still people that won't wait & reach over & serve themselves! Why do people have to be in such a hurry & so nasty about the whole thing when it was done to protect us? They have plenty of other jobs they could be doing rather than serving people making nasty aggrivated faces at them. 😞

Do they have caffeine free tea bags?

Thank you for doing this post.....was very helpful, especially with mobility issues. I will be going on Oasis soon so this was perfect. One question....I noticed you said the room service menu is on TV.....do they still have the paper forms you fill out the night before & put outside your door if you want to order the coffee & pastry for the morning, or is this all done on the app now?
Again, thank you, hope you're rested up and had a good time!

Thank you so much for all the pictures & comments & suggestions!!! Will be on Oasis for the first time in May & I really enjoyed all of this! You did a wonderful job & looks like you had a wonderful 2 weeks!

I plan on downloading the app, although I'm not big on using my phone on the cruise. But...I have only sailed Liberty as the largest ship & will be going on Oasis soon. I noticed the comments about the coveted cruise compass. On the larger ships, and now with the app, do we not get the compass left in our cabin each night like we have in the past?

Thanks for all the opinions....alot of us from the north! I also am about 4 hrs away & there will be 2 cars of us so we've been undecided. Seems easier to just drive there that day, then thought of going a day early to a hotel & look around. But....there's nothing there! And, don't think we'll actually head into New York. Thanks for all the options and opinions!

I am also looking for information on the parking at the pier, if anyone has done it recently. I had heard awhile ago (don't remember where) that parking now was about $40 per night. But recently I've been told & everything I've found says its still $25 per night. That's a big difference in planning so curious if anyone knows for sure.

Have a great cruise.....looking forward to following along also! I also noticed someone else asked where you stay in Elizabeth NJ the night before? I'm also curious since we will cruise Oasis in May & going out of Cape Liberty is all new to us....we don't know where to look to stay, etc. Do you also leave your car in the garage at the port? So many decisions!

I'm also looking for what to do after driving down from MA, where to stay, park, etc. Hadn't thought of the option of staying in Ct & a shorter drive in the morning. Still the expense at the pier so gives me some options to think about.

I had 2 future cruise credits to use that we had purchased a couple of years ago & kept forgetting to use them. We finally booked a cruise for next Nov., 2021 which has now been cancelled already. We didn't actually have to put a cash deposit on & hadn't sent in a payment yet. We have until 10/31 to book something else or get our deposit back. But technically, we didn't pay a deposit. So now I don't know if I'll lose those 2 future cruise credits. I've waited a bit before calling RCCL to see if I heard anything from them on this. What a mess.

I was just on the Serenade and they did have 2 non smoking nights, on the formal nights, in the casino. I really didn't seem to notice much difference on those nights in the amount of people in there playing.
I am a smoker, yet am used to only smoking outside so when we would leave our cabin and head to the elevators on deck 9, you could smell the smoke seeping up from the casino on deck 6. It was always very strong and usually a smoker won't really notice that. They allowed smoking in a covered outside area on deck 11 and deck 5 and I think that's very reasonable.....there's chairs and ashtrays there and it's expected in that area.
What surprised me is the amount of people using the vapor cigarettes....they tend to use them constantly....with almost no break! I can't help but wonder how this helps? Many of them have a strong scent...vanilla, clove, etc.....and I thought this was nauseating after awhile. These people used these on their balconies and in any non smoking areas....I don't understand why those are accepted instead.
Oh well, I may be told to get a life but just wanted to share my opinion too :)

As long as you already have a balcony, stick with it. We love our balcony and have had both rooms and we do like to spend some time there. The biggest difference we find is the full size sofa or the love seat size....and the cabin is a bit longer, but not worth that difference.
Both cabins are nice and we've also had the E cabins forward.....they have a bigger, square balcony!
