Assuming your flight (and your cousin) arrive on time, you should have enough time to do it. I would try to stay within the immediate vicinity of the airport though (13 Coins comes to mind).

That is correct. It's an easy walk; I think it's more like 4-5 blocks. I actually took this photo from the deck of the Bainbridge ferry last month:

If you are coming in on Sound Transit 550, it stops at Westlake Station, so you would just get off there. However, if you are just looking to transfer to the light rail heading south to the airport, you can make the transfer at International District Station, and save yourself a little backtracking.

Did you try Hotel Maya? There is a corporate code mentioned in several recent threads.
Yes, but it seems the code is now only for Carnival employees, not guests.

Well, hopefully the conditions will be "normal." I bought the tickets last night and managed to snag the last 3 seats at that price. Now, I just have to book flights for the outbound leg. I'm pretty sure we will be flying in the day before the cruise, but the decent hotels around the port area are all $200+. Any chance the hotel prices will come down between now and November?

DW, DD, and I will on the Miracle, returning to Long Beach on Nov 8. The itenerary lists the arrival time as 9:00 am. I've been looking at an Alaska Airlines flight departing LGB airport at 11:50 am, nonstop to SEA. The o/w fare for this flight just dropped to $80 today, and I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but I just want to make sure we will have enough time to make the flight? We could take a later flight out of LGB or LAX, but it will cost an extra $29-39 pp.

By the way, if she had changed her name on the passport within one year of getting married there would have been no charge.
The way I read it, the no charge name change can only been done if it's been less than one year since the passport was issued.

My wife and I are looking at sailing on the the Carnival Miracle in November. We just got married last year, and her passport (still valid until 2018) has her maiden name on it. I looked into getting a new passport with her married name on it, but it costs the same as a renewal ($110). I'm thinking it might just make more sense to book the cruise using the name on her current passport instead. Would there be any problems doing it this way? We would also be traveling with our 3 yr old DD if that makes a difference.

Pretty much all of the downtown streets have sidewalks and crosswalks. To make the walk to the ferry a little easier, I would first head north a block or two to Marion St and then west toward the waterfront. Starting at the corner of 1st and Marion, there is an elevated pedestrian walkway that bypasses the traffic and goes directly into the passenger terminal.

OP, this may be a little off topic, but I was wondering what type of cabin did you book for your cruise? The reason I ask is because DW and I are looking to go in November on either the Crown Princess or Carnival Miracle. We would be traveling with our soon-to-be 3 yr old, and I'm leaning towards the Miracle because there seem to be numerous rooms available with a sofa bed for the 3rd bed. As far as I can tell, on the Crown, unless we were to get at least a mini suite, the 3rd bed would be an upper/pullman style, and DD isn't ready to sleeping up high like that!

From the light rail University St Station the Fairmont is one fairly steep block away.
+1
No need to go all the way to Westlake. The University St Station is at 3rd & University, just one block west of the the Fairmont.

Depends on the airline. Air Canada uses the "A" concourse. Alaska (Horizon) flights typically depart from C or N gates. Delta also operates flights to Vancouver now, and I believe those can be B or S.
