I contacted Virgin Cruises through their Chat service today, this the answer I finally had:
"I recommend giving it another try later because it looks like its a glitch on the website."

Hi, just had the email about upgrading for our August cruise.
When I go through the process to upgrade, choose a price on the slider, enter card details, the system spins for a bit and the I get this message:
"We are unable to process your request at this time. If you've only recently made your reservation, please try back again in 24 hours."
I booked months ago so it can't be because of a recentbooking, anyone else getting this issue?

Hi,
I’ve seen a few posts here about the opportunity to bid for cabin upgrades.
We’re booked into one of the lifeboat restricted view cabins for Valiant in August and might change for a decent deal; when and where does the chance of upgrading appear?

On Enchanted last week a kind waitress in Sabatinis gave us this list of wines that she recommended we should try in the other restaurants / bars to make full use of our premium package. She told us to be insistent as these were in stock.
Asking for these in the MDR led to a 20 minute wait as the waiter disappeared somewhere to get them. By mid week we were offered a “double” to save them a second journey. The bottles were to hand in the Crown Grill Bar and some in Crooners.
Interestingly, in the Bistro my wife had a glass of the Chalk Hill (20 min wait) but her refill was the Sauvingion from the counter!
The Bel Gloss and Zinfandel were my favourites.- 1

I’ve just received an email from Princess asking me to use the Medallion App to “Select your terminal arrival time”.
I can’t find this anywhere in the App.
Can anyone help?

Whats the procedure to prebook the 2 ‘free’ speciality restaurants with the premier package?
When I try in the Medallion App, choose a day, time and restaurant, I get payment details appearing, click to ‘buy’ but I get a message that ‘an error occurred’, I have a card registered but I can’t book my ‘free’ offer and can’t pay for it either?
I’m 13 days from sailing if that is relevant.
Is it essential to prebook or will there be plenty of tables available to book either once onboard or on a day by day basis?

Replying to my original post.
Cruise Circel have been excellent. New flights out within 15 minutes of the original time and a flight home slightly earlier than Monarch's all sorted by the end of the day yesterday - great service. :D

Yes ABTA certificate in hand covers all aspects of the journey.
Not really worried (yet!) that we won't be able to get to Venice in time for the sailing, could even go a day earlier.
More worried about the return the following Sunday, my son has an exam on the Monday morning!
We'll see how things pan out.

Due to the recent news about Monarch, we are currently sorting bookings via departure date order.
We will be back in touch with more information by close of business today.

So it sounds like they are working on it, thankfully 4 weeks will be enough time for them to reschedule.

Booked a cruise from Venice 28/10 returning from Barcalona, both flights are with Monarch.
Cruise booking was made through Cruise Circle (ABTA) they arrange flights, transfers and cruise all as separate bookings not one package - does anybody know where we stand now that Monarch have stopped trading?

From Tesco website RC conditins:
- Tokens redeemable against the cruise element of the holiday only and cannot be used against any Flight costs, Taxes, Air Add-ons & upgrades, Pre-Paid Gratuities, Car Parking, Hotels & transfers, On-board spend & Shore Excursions and administration Fees. Tokens are not combinable with any other offers.

The OP was asking if it can be used for on board spend - does anyone know if these Tesco vouchers can be used for on board spend?

Our November allure sailing is on the list but the delux beverages still shows $52 per person as it always has.
Same here - Rhapsody 28/10 is on the sale list, however all prices shorex, drinks, dining and internet are all the same as they were last week, only ‘new’ option is ultimate dining and beverage combo £50 per day - no saving on last week’s combined price.

No problems with emails and texting. Video streaming would likely be a problem.

What are you looking to do with the WiFi?
Personally - keep up to date with emails FB etc.
Teenagers - contact friends, facetime, streaming music and/or video (if worth bothering).

Think as suggested we may go for a single user and take it from there.
We can rely otherwise on the new European mobile data roaming deal (apart from Montenegro) and port wifi.
Level Upgrade - bidding for a room upgrade.

Replying to my own post - it seems that the problem is Apple's safari web browser. Everything went through first time using Firefox. Might be a tip for others.
