  1. I just download the brochure for our 2018 cruise. Like it says above, go to: http://www.celebritycruises.com/plan-a-cruise/shore-excursions

Click on the button "Download Shore Excursions Brochure for specific sailings"

    TURN OFF YOUR POP-UP BLOCKER

Enter your sailing information and click submit.

Done all that - still doesn't work

I think we have established that you can do this from the US website but not from the UK

  2. Anne, out of curiosity, I just tried Celebrity's UK site at

    http://celebritycruises.co.uk

It brought up a different screen from the US site that I described previously, but scrolling down the first page about half way (below the world map), on the right side is a picture of a couple on a motorcycle by the coliseum,

and it has a link that says "Shore Excursions >"

I clicked that link, and the next screen had a picture of a hot air balloon.

I scrolled down and found a link below right in the center of the screen that says

    "VIEW ALL SHORE EXCURSIONS"

When I clicked that link, it switched me to the US website.

Scrolling down just a short way on the right is a link to

Download Shore Excursions Brochure for specific sailings

and clicking that on the US website, it should work for you just as it does for us here in the USA, as described in post #8.

But IMPORTANT: you can't just click the link above here in my message -- I tried that, and it brings up an old plain black and white form that no longer works if I do it that way.

So if you get that one (it says Loading... at the top), just close it and try again.

The new form that works correctly has a blue box border around it, and the blue box opens first, before the print appears.

For that matter, it may be easier if you try starting from the US website to begin with: http://celebritycruises.com

    Good luck!

Yes I have found that link - when I click the link for "Download Shore Excursions Brochure for specific sailings", I get the error so the site doesn't seem to be directing back to what it should from the UK site.

I tried to use the .com address but got redirected to the .co.uk website

    :(

  3. We had taken the insurance recommended by Celebrity. The insurance company did not respond for 4-5 days. My mother had to pay the entire deposit of 3500 euro for admission. She was kept on a stretcher and not given a proper bed and proper food for more than 48 hours and that is the reason her post operative recovery is so greatly delayed. Celebrity carried thousands of senior citizens every year . The least they can do is have a representative to help the old injured passenger get started with their treatment and guide them regarding the insurance paperwork.

I think its your insurance company you should be complaining about if they took 4-5 days to respond.

  4. Its seems to be a bit pot luck on the pricing, we had been looking at a Med cruise but it was showing £2k pp on our T/A and Celebrity sites for the cabin type we wanted which seemed a lot compared with other med cruise of the same length/time.

I kept monitoring and "hey presto" about 2 weeks ago it came down to around £1600 for the cabin we wanted, on the celebrity and T/A site so we booked it.

This week its back up to nearly £2k again on both the T/A and Celebrity site.

I presume there is some logic to the pricing based on how sales are going ... but maybe there isn't

  5. To everyone that has posted and claimed their children had a fabulous time on Celebrity, that too was my experience when traveling with my children. However, whether the kids were having a great time was not the issue the OP had. Her issues are with the safety of the program. She made a few good points regarding safety. As all parents know fun does not equal safe.

Well said, Its also wasn't about whether you should take your children on holiday in School time, Which schools have two weeks holiday at half term in the UK or whether your children should be in the Martini bar whether it was open or closed.

I wish people could keep to the point.

  6. Yes you can make a reservation pre-cruise.Just sign into cruise planner. I just made reservations for June 2017 sailing. I always go with the earliest time slot 5:45pm and I have never had an issue getting in. We like to eat early.:o

Thanks very much we are on the 15 June sailing so I will look in to it later.

  7. Spoken from those who have never encountered a persistent and inconsiderate door slammer at all hours of the day and night. If you had, you would never have made those comments.

My point was that if I was on a cruise, in this situation, I wouldn't waste my holiday time posting to a forum to complain. I'm not sure posting it achieves anything.

  8. When we had anytime dining, we simply made a reservation for the same time each night and asked to be seated with the same waitstaff. Felt just like traditional! :D

Just know that if you want to eat at a really popular time, you might have to wait for a table.

how does the reservation system work, can you do it before you sail. One of our party has a birthday during our cruise, normally don't mind sharing as you get to meet new people, but I would like to try and get a table for the 4 of us for that evening,

  9. Cruise ships... where one goes to judge and be judged. What you wear, how you close your door, what time you go to bed, what time you allow the stateroom attendant in... [emoji849] Too many people busy with what other people do as opposed to enjoying themselves.

I can't quite get my head around someone being on their cruise and then taking time to come on here to complain about doors banging :).

  10. Not sure why a post asking for advice of experienced cruisers on how to handle a delicate situation brings out the pontificators.

I was the one who got my sunglasses swiped and I can assure you I didn't knowingly leave them behind to tempt the buffet cattle call. As others have pointed out, most of us often let our guard down while on a cruise and usually nothing of consequence happens but then there are other times... on the whole people are very honest judging from the number of things in the Lost and Found (pens, glasses, cameras, cell phones, umbrellas, jackets, beach wear, even wigs )

Hope the OP was successful in finding her son's game.

so true- I think the OP was looking for advice on what to do, not a post mortem on why the DS might have been taken or why her son isn't in school?:

  11. Yet another reason for people to use a TA, they actually understand the system.

Mine aren't showing on my reservation yet but the Travel Agent has confirmed that there are there and he can see them and I have been told they will appear shortly on the celebrity booking. Its a bit crazy that its takes time for them to appear at the correct cost

  12. We've paid in full so I'm guessing we will just have to cough up the price of the package, classic or premium guys? Never done a drinks package before. We do normally take 'some' on board with us.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We didn't take a drinks package with our first two Celebrity Cruises and bought drinks as and when we wanted. We aren't heavy drinkers and spent much less than we would have paid for a drinks package.

  13. I just read on another Celebrity thread that it takes approx 10 days for the drinks package to be applied to bookings. So if very recently booked, it wouldn't show up yet. :)

thanks yes I have booked recently so I will wait and monitor to see it appears. I checked with the Travel Agent this morning and they definitely confirmed it and their confirmation email has it on there too.

Perhaps I need to have more patience :)
