We were on The escape last week, used uber to & from the port from the Hampton inn blue lagoon. no problems at all . When you type your search start it with "Cruise terminal C" and uber will populate it for the correct terminal at POM. Driver on the way to the port dropped us within 100 ft or so to the steps where you line up for security. Very easy process and will definitely use them in the future.
This. Or use the actual address of the pier. We have never had an issue with either of these options.

Does anyone know if the cases of bottles water are available to purchase once on board rather than pre-cruise? That could be something to use OBC towards.
Yes. We will be doing this as well.

Been on the Escape 2 times within the last six months. They do have two MDR seatings that are not anytime dining. Unless they changed it since Dec 2016.
NCL does NOT have any scheduled MDR seating. It is all freestyle. You can make a reservation if you want, but otherwise you just show up when it is convenient for you.

We had an H6 on Getaway-12304. Balcony was off the living area & was HUGE! We had a table & 4 chairs & 3 full size loungers with PLENTY of room still. There were 3 of us in the cabin + 3 family members who were in the adjoining non-Haven cabin (4 adults & 2 kids total) and it never felt crowded. It was great to have the extra space & the extra powder room was a plus. The tub in the Master Bath overlooks the balcony. The aft view, in my opinion, is the best view on the ship.

Just curious.....
If you are already booked in the Haven, do you get an offer to upgrade to another Haven type room?
Has this happened to anyone?
Thanks.
Yes, it happened to us. We are currently booked in an H5 & were offered an upsell to OS & DOS. We threw a minimum bid down on the DOS for giggles- the Haven is sold out on our sailing so I'm not even sure why they sent out the offers.

Technically you are canceling your reservation & re-booking. If your OBC was a perk from your previous booking that is no longer available then yes, you loose it.
If you wait until closer to your sailing, you may get an invitation to bid on an upsell. This would allow you to keep the perks you already have while getting a higher category of room. It is a crap shoot, but if you really want to keep the OBC, it is your best option.

I agree with your choice of deck 17. It's always better to have cabins above you! We were in 17108 a few weeks ago. We had our 7 y.o. Son with us, so there were 3 of us- and there was plenty of room! Being slightly more forward, we didn't get any noise from the courtyard area. The balcony seemed slightly longer than our neighbors...we were easily able to fit 3 chairs along with the small table. This cabin is port side, which gave us great views.
That said, we are back in Escape in the Haven next year and are in 17724- which is starboard side & more toward mid ship. I don't think any location would be "bad".

Has Virginia gone to the Escape yet? All of our pre-boarding requests were done on Getaway in June and Virginia was the best and had amazing customer service.

Yes, Virginia was our Concierge for our July 23-31 sailing on Escape. She was outstanding!!

We were on Escape last week. The stairs to the pool were roped off between 10-11 pm & the rope was removed between 6-7 am. Honestly didn't notice if the stairs to the hot tub were ever roped off.

I was wondering if they could be
We were just in an H5 last week. Bed can not be separated. It's an actual king size bed.
-
We just got off her this morning. You will have a great time! So many things to do & the staff are wonderful!!

We were on Getaway this past October. I'm not sure if they make it themselves or if it's from a box, but my son loved it - and he is very picky about his mac & cheese, lol! There is nothing in or on top of it.

I'm glad to hear good things about this Hotel- we are staying here the night before our cruise at the end of July. Does anyone have kid friendly restaurant recommendations that won't be too crazy/hard to get into for a Friday night?
-
Same date, we're also on the following 6 day cruise. Not sure why I received such a good deal, especially considering it's for two weeks. Not gonna argue though. Heck, they even waived the upcharge on the DSC's as I've already paid them.
That is an awesome deal! I'm guessing your large aft balcony will re-sell faster than a mid-ship mini[emoji4]. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the deals get better closer to sailing.
-
Just curious...What date are you sailing? I called upsell this morning for our 7/23 cruise on Escape & was given a price of $1500 per person ($3,000 total) for an H5 from a mid-ship mini-suite. I didn't take it, figured I'd keep my eye on it & call back.
-
We are on the 7/23 sailing & I am biding my time until I can make the call to the Upsell Dept! Have a wonderful time in Haven!!
-
Yes, way too early to call upsell. Your best bet is to start calling about 3 weeks prior to your sailing.

Thank you so much!

Hi all!
We are staying at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort for 3 days post-cruise. I know there are not many restaurants near the resort, so we will be venturing out- mostly for lunch & dinner.
I have been looking at reviews on Trip Advisor, but there are SO many good food options, I thought I would ask here for some of your favorites! No ultra fine dining, as we will have our 7 year old with us, but otherwise anything goes!
Thanks in advance[emoji41]

I wish they'd add new ports in the Caribbean. I'd love to see a ship out of San Juan for the entire season.
Exactly this! I love the Southern Caribbean and would prefer to sail NCL to those destinations instead of RCI.

I am along for the ride. No checking in at work girl. It will be there when you get back :-)
Could you do me a huge favor HUGE. Could you check the liquor store on ship and see if they have this. I want it so bad, I have the coffee one but NEED the berries.
Ohhhh... I didn't know this came in a berry mixture too! One of the liquor stores in St. Thomas (shops in port) carry the coffee one, but never saw a berry. Is it a new flavor?!?

My husband made the qualifiers, and I am assuming you don't do crossFit so don't know what that means. He is 110th in the world and has to do 4 competition work outs the weekend we get off the ship, so trying to be prepared for that. Not sure why negative comments are necessary. Thank you everyone else for your information! I am happy to hear they have rowers on the Escape. We might try and hit up Reebok CrossFit in St. Thomas! Have a great day everyone!
Congratulations to your husband! That is no easy feat! I wish him well on his quest in the Games!

You would be able to dine with them if approved by the concierge & for a fee (I believe $35 per person). You are not allowed to use any other amenities.
