Onboard at the moment. It was quite hairy at one point. We were close to 2 cruise ships and a gin palace and ended up horizontal across the port! But, no one hurt, no ships damaged (bar QM2 ropes which snapped- saw that happen with my own eyes!) currently sailing to Valencia in 9 on the Beaufort scale wind, so choppy doesn’t come close!!! hoping to attach a dangling gangway! I have questioned it and there is nothing they can do. Like I said I think the priority is for the time given, so you arrive at that time and go to the front of the queue, not giving you an early time. This is the first time we have had such a late boarding. Hasten to add we will be arriving a little early!!!

I am wondering whether the priority boarding for world club members is for the time you are given, so you don’t queue. BUT it doesn’t give you a priority/early time. We are diamond and have 3:45 boarding- been assured we can skip the queue (what queue at 3:45!)

I haven’t been on QM2 for nearly 15 years and it was my first ever cruise, so didn’t really know what I was doing! Been on QE and QV a lot, but I am aware that QM2 has quite a different layout. There are dead ends, where you think you are going the right way but aren’t?? And also a secret lift to commodore club?? Can anyone help with any hints on ease of moving around? Our stateroom is on deck 11- what’s the best way to get to the commodore club/kings court/ main restaurant? Thanks!

Oh gosh I wish I could always travel QG! We have done PG a lot, but not this year. I’m determined to save up for PG next year though!

Anyone been on cunard recently and taken alcohol in their luggage? We had a bottle of gin in our suite last year as had an upgrade to queens (amazing!) but sadly not this year! Want to take some gin with me, as loved a gin on the balcony!

We have the worst boarding time ever for July- 3:45… with the next box on the boarding pass saying “last boarding 4.” we are diamond and platinum members and got a BB balcony- disappointed to say the least! I mean it’s practically sail away time!

Is it not that you have priority embarkation, so don’t have to queue for the time you are given. In the past we have shown priority boarding and have gone to the front of the queue. Not sure I’m explaining this well! We did grill last year and had an early boarding time. Mum is diamond and I am platinum and not going grill this year and been given 3:45 boarding, last boarding 4pm! So hardly think the world club status has worked there! We have a normal balcony booked.

Can anyone shed some light on the private covid testing rules cunard have just introduced. I sail on a Sunday, so can I test anytime the day before or is it 24hrs prior to my embarkation time? The information is quite ambiguous. I’m worried as we sail on a Sunday and the hours some testing companies work at weekends is reduced. Really don’t want to get this wrong! Bring back terminal testing!!! Has anyone had en experience of private testing to go away? thanks in advance
