You can sacrifice a goat before you leave home too. I have heard that helps.

This literally made me lol. Thank you and the other non-germophobes for keeping it real. Germs are a part of life and they're EVERYWHERE! All of these people who won't touch this or that or drink a gallon of sanitizer everyday...SMH...

Wow, another cruiser from Conshohocken?? We will be on 12/27. Look for my review!
Will do conshycruiser and you look for mine when I come back from my trip in January.

Great review thus far and really loving the pictures. We're doing this cruise in mid-January and I cannot wait.

This ConshyCrock dude is a troll, right?
He isn't.

We've sailed on the Pride in January and there was an outdoor sail away party, but that was several years ago

FTTF on San Juan with no tender ports, not worth it.....
With over 1,000 posts, you should know by now that FTTF is ALWAYS worth it! THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!!!

What time do they typically start the check in and boarding process? My boarding pass says 2:30 but I thought I remember seeing earlier than that in reviews of prior cruisers.
More importantly, did you get FTTF????? That is all that matters!!!!!!

How is a two dollar bill problematic to use? It is US currency same as a one or five dollar bill.
Everyone knows that $2 bills are used in Monopoly only!!! Lol

This was a great post, I loved it. Like the person right before me said, I'm so sick of all of the same topics and ridiculous threads started by people too lazy to do a simple Google search!

As someone who has to get dressed up for work every stinkin day with no casual Friday, I look forward to NOT having to get dressed up on vacation. I think it's kind of silly to spend all day lounging around the ship or exploring a port city in relaxed clothes just to turn around and get dressed up for a few hours at dinner.
If you want to get decked out to the nines by all means go for it, but I for one will pass on the formalities while aboard.

I don't think we've ever had anything but an old school tube TV on all of our cruises. I guess we're doing it wrong....
-
On our very first cruise we booked an interior. We had no idea what to expect and never thought about how dark it would be. We didn't like it because, while we don't spend a ton of time in the cabin, we both need the natural light. If we ever went with an interior again we would definitely do the TV trick. I hope you enjoy your cruise!!!

It is Carnival- I seen guys drinking out of wine bottles in the pool. But of course it was something other than wine in the bottle!
So they emptied the wine bottle to put what else inside exactly? Another form of alcohol?

Your pics are great. I'm doing this cruise in January and cannot wait.

Do it!!!!

I wish I knew but I don't. Hopefully it's not ken who always sings and is so annoying

I think it's demeaning to the servers that they are forced to do it, so my vote is to get rid of it.
-
We always ignore these emails, especially because we like to board as early as possible.

Never had The Wee Jimmy. We had a little guy as CD on our last cruise, George Robert I think his name was but I don't remember for sure. We weren't impressed with him. Before that we had Felipe and he was alright. Our fave was Kirk Benning because we thought he was hysterical. Now that I'm thinking about it I think Felipe will be our guy again on our upcoming cruise in January. Woohoo!

Generally nicer than anyplace in the U.S. in February.

Part of the fun is the anticipation.
I would argue that the anticipation is the best part of vacation or at least it is to me.
Enjoy your cruise!

Coincidentally I also have a lido deck balcony for my upcoming cruise and I simply cannot wait to experience it. From everything I've read I expect it to fabulous! Enjoy your cruise!

I know I'm weird, but I couldn't care less about the band, line dancing or any of that stuff. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it but I don't take part. I want them to just lay on the ship's horn/fog horn the whole way out of port!!! [emoji3]
The most cruise days.

This is our retirement goal as well given how expensive most retirement communities are. Too bad we're a few decades away from having to worry about this though...
