You were lucky. I started my Cambodia quest in late Octobera, although I believe back then the official word was that it couldn't be obtained until 2 months pre-arrival, so I had to wait. And I had a lot of trouble contacting the embassy here. The phone just rang no matter when I called. At least when I finally drove there, someone answered the intercom!
At least I have the Vietnam one taken care of.
So I'm curious now. Did you go to Sihanoukville, Cambodia? If so, was there a shuttle from the port/ship to the gate outside of the port. I hear it's a bit of a walk. And was there a shuttle that went somewhere outside the port and into the city? And if you went to Ho Chi Minh City, did you dock at Hiep Phuoc? Was there a shuttle into center city?
Thanks.
Yes there was a shuttle bus to take you to the Port gate and we docked in Port PHU MY

We have one day in Sihanoukville wich is not very promising. Taking a ferry to Kog Rong or Kog Saloem or...is maybe a better option?
Tips and experiences are more than welcome,
Thank you
When is your cruise and when will you be calling at Sihanoukville

When we visited Sihanoukville Princess took care of the Visas foe us both times. Which cruise line are you sailing with?

FCD's are not billed to shipboard account, but separately to same CC on file. Email acknowledgement pretty fast. Not sure how long to bill. Found doing by Medallion much better than dropping off paper.
Do you get charged an extra amount on your Credit Card when you purchase these FCD
We have just noticed that we have a substantial charge on CC even although the account was cleared onboard. Can only think it may be for the FCD's we bought and have maybe never noticed over the years.

In Nov 2012 we took an Australian cruise on Princess that was a total solar eclipse cruise. The eclipse was one of the highlights much better than the Great Barrier Reef tour! I was surprised that the ship did not have souvenir glasses to buy. I purchased 100 pair on amazon and gave them out at the CC meet and greet ( I had told them on the roll call I would have them) We got notification from a crew member that the people on land in Port Douglas were unable to see the eclipse due to cloud cover but the captain was able to position the ship where we could see it clearly. I highly recommend an eclipse cruise, it was a little more expensive but well worth it.
We were all given special glasses from Princess when we were in Asia Dec 2019 - it was an amazing experience Annular Solar Eclipse

That was for next year. We had the email inviting us to apply too!
I can say in no uncertain terms the filming finished for The Real Love Boat show the other week.
They may well have gone off the Ship but I can assure you that Filming Crew will be back on Regal again this month. We have been speaking to Princess re this and have all the details. they were in contact with us while we were on SKY FOR and called us when we got home a few weeks ago.
I was not saying the film crew were still onboard!!!

The film crew left the ship in Marseilles three days after our cruise ended on 23rd July.
They had been aboard for some 8 weeks and were very keen to get off!
Maybe other crew will take their place? Only saying what we have been told by Princess, We have been asked to take part in this brand-new daytime TV series, being filmed onboard Regal. The dates we were given for the filming are between August and October.

You’re right. I should have stated from the UK and some of the European ports it is a little dressier. People seem to like to dress up more.
Thank you for correcting that. But, it’s not necessary to wear a Tux and an evening gown, only if you want to.Only saying what our experience has been, not correcting you - Enjoy, take care

Ken, when you were in Istanbul, were there taxis or something that could take you to the Bizare?
When we were in Istanbul with Princess, there was a Shuttle Bus that took you into City

What do you mean?
PacnGoNow said the dress code seems to be a lot more relaxed now since the restart
From our experience on all the Cruises we have been on (from Southampton) since restart, people are still dressing up and especially on Formal night - lots of dinner suits, Tux and beautiful long dresses.
That is what we have experienced, which is great!!!!! - well we like it

It seems to be a lot more relaxed since the restart. My DH takes slacks, sport coat and dress shoes. He doesn’t want to wear a tie any more. No problem! And I just wear dressy top, dress pants and dress shoes. Not formal at all.
Not more relaxed when sailing from the UK

So I am booked on Sapphire 9/24 out of Los Angeles. This booking still shows in my personalizer with all payment info etc present. The issue is that this cruise has not shown up on the Princess website in about 3 weeks.
Cruise is about 64 days out.
If this is cancelled when can I expect a notice?
Or do guys think it is sold out? I thought you could waitlist even if it is sold out.
I think it means it is sold out or almost sold out

I remember there being a lot of complaints about the number of people having Elite status on some Princess ships and it playing havoc with the free laundry service.
Had this free laundry service with Princess for years and only ever used it once!!!!! 3 items came back RUINED lol

Just out of interest- any idea why they did this? Quite nifty!
It was to do with people becoming Elite members with Princess and had never actually sailed with them, from memory!!

Our next Cruise is with Princess and have just been advised that the RANDOX at home Antigen test is NOT adequate, as the Certificate does not supply the required Info that PRINCESS are looking for.
Maybe use them for the following P&O Cruise later in year 😪
I Believe Princess are looking for a Medically Supervised Test Certificate!!!!!

Thank you for this, appreciated. At worst we can test at Port 😄 Enjoy

It varies, some want supervised some the home on line like Randox app. Supervised difficult especially if you live in a remote area. However Dam health do them in Southampton. Also some lines give you more time, P&O is day before.
So the Randox one that you do at home and receive a certificate would be adequate then

Each test has a unique order number. I am doing a test run tomorrow as I have just got a smart phone. Hope it was worth it! Some of us travel regularly so can be doing tests several times a year.
Is this at home Antigen case acceptable by cruise line - I thought I read somewhere that it had to be a medically supervised test?? Thanks

Thanks for the replies folks. Everything is a bit tight for getting kits sent to us as the weather often disrupts things. I assume 3 days ahead would mean testing on Wednesday if sailing on Saturday. If that is the case it is a possibility if we could order the kits in plenty of time. Are all these tests done with a video link and results emailed?
We also live in Scotland and are travelling to S'Hampton. We will test on Thursday, travel to SH on Friday, stay overnight and board on Saturday.

The day 2 testing is an old test requirement when anyone coming into the UK had to take a test 2 days after arriving. It no longer applies but Randox haven't taken it off the description yet.
You can safely order that one.
I paid £11, it was available to collect immediately from a local convenience store. I live in Leeds, your location might not have a local shop that stocks them.
Edit - for those searching for a discount code, it's in red lettering at the top of the order page - Use coupon “FLY15” to receive exclusive discount for both Lateral Flow or PCR testing kits
Thank you for this information, we thought that might be the case. I saw the coupon code at the top of the order page. I will check to see if there is a collection point near us here in Scotland. We used Randox last year for PCR test ( 2 day after travel) and it all went smoothly.
Thans again

You need Randox Lateral Flow Test at home - UK. £13.50 - £12.00 with a code or £11 collected
Thank you for your help again - when I looked it up on Randox site it says - Includes 1 x Pre-departure Lateral Flow test (Not suitable for day 2 testing) ?

We absolutely loved our time in Sihanoukville (Cambodia) We had an amazing Tour and took us everywhere, fabulous price and much much cheaper than same ships tour. Everybody who joined us also thought it was FAB. ALL organised before we left home !!
