Thanks guys. The sooner I know the better. Need to book a coach for the wedding party to and from the airport, as soon as I know the times I can get that sorted with the coach company 👍🏻

Very exciting times ahead, you will have an amazing time, our friends got married onboard Azura a few years ago and  my Husband and I were Best Man & Bridesmaid - what an AMAZING time we all had. P&O looked after us soon well!!!

Hi thanks for the reply. I think you may have misunderstood. November ‘19 is November 2019, not November 19th. Also, can anyone be more specific? Airlines usually release flights 11 months before, is that when they’ll go on my cruise personalised?  Thanks

Ooops Sorry about that, at least 9 months in advance, you should get confirmation in writing.

Hi, We are going on the Azura November '19 for my daughter's wedding. Does anyone know when our flight details (times, airline) will be known?

    Thanks

Usually months in advance, look up your Cruise Personaliser, once in to that, click "getting there and back" at top of page and your flight details will be there although you should have had these details long ago

  4. Good evening yamanid thank you for your assistance in this matter but I don’t know if I am allowed to state name of my cruise on CC might be breaking CC rules and don’t wish to cause any unnecessary problems with CC. However if you browse through Guntree Glasgow under cruises yo will find all details there. Thank you.

Helen, I had already found it on Gumtree, sorry to have troubled you. I am passing this on to others now to give them all the details and hopefully get back to you as soon as possible (with a positive outcome).

    Thank You, look after yourselves

  5. Help please,Can anyone advise me on how to try and sell our cruise

on Azura Caribbean Nov 2018 flying from Glasgow We require to sell due to sudden ill health and because insurance company refuse to pay out. Can’t put further details down or telephone contact number in case breaking rules on CC. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Hi Helen, So sorry to hear you are unable to go on your Cruise due to sudden ill health and sincerely hope everything gets sorted out for you all.

I have been reading through the posts and wondered if you could tell me the exact Cruise you are on to see if I may be able to help you out with this and hopefully take a bit of weight off of your mind. xx Take Care

  6. YES we have stayed in cabin C510 twice on P&O Azura, also Emerald and Crown princess - you have made a really good choice, almost bang slap in the middle of the ship. You are near the lifts and the stairs. once you are onboard you will realise that you probably stressed yourself out a little tooooooo much about cabin choice (although I do the same) we love the area that you have chosen, but everyone is different. you will have the MOST AMAZING TIME and I think you better start doing overtime or get a third job, as you will certainly want to go again and again and again. ENJOY:cool:

P.S. you will not even know the ship is moving!!! and anyway you will be too busy enjoying your Cruise to worry about it.

  7. I am on Azura transalitic in Oct and have booked on the dream liner premium seats but on my own I wonder if they will me sit where I want being only one got to wait and see.

If you want a specific seat you will have to book and pay for this when the time comes

  8. We are flying out with Thomson next month, yes 14 weeks before you can choose your seats,be quick though even on the first morning some seats were gone,I wasn't the only keen one!

The reason you found seats not available on the first day, could be due to the fact that if you are in Top Tiers with P&O you get priority to book your seats before others do:cool:

  9. On the news this morning Bermuda has banned same sex marriage. They only started to allow it last year if I remember correctly.

P&O advertised same sex weddings, as they fly under the flag of Bermuda, which will presumably now all have to be cancelled.

I feel extremely sorry for anyone who has their wedding plans disrupted by this. While P &O can do nothing about a change in the law I do hope they treat any subsequent cancellations sensitively.

The news mentioned that it would affect a number of land based tour operators and ships offering weddings.

Seems strange when the law has only changed last year to allow this

I know when we were onboard AZURA for a month over Xmas & New Year that Robert Camby did 3 same sex Weddings

  10. We went with P&O because of the Visa. All I would add is be security conscious, pick-pockets are rife at the tourist spots especially in the grounds of the palaces.

If you are booking a private tour you do not need a Visa, they just need your passport details in order for them to complete paperwork for your arrival (and no charge)

  11. I disagree with you that the bigger ships lead to less friendly interaction with the wait staff. We have found that on RCI and Celebrity the wait staff are far friendlier than on P&O, and the standard of service is far higher, and all our cruises have been on big ships.

In my view this results from the style of management which on P&O is do as I say whilst on the RCI group the senior staff lead by example and regularly clear tables and help out on busy sections.

Possibly on smaller ships the rigid management style is a bit more relaxed, but this is one of the main differences we notice with P&O on all the ships we have sailed on.

Funny you should say that, we are just back from a month on Azura and the M'aitre D was helping almost every night, he was clearing and re-setting up the tables to help the waiters

  12. I would agree that was the case in years gone by however our last 2 cruises last year there was defiantly a cut back as described.

Just out of interest was the offer of double recent and were you in club dining?

YES it was - on for a month from 15 January - he didn't take them up on it though, that would just be greed lol :cool:but they did ask him on a few different nights ( as well as others at the table)

  13. My husband ordered extra lobster as the portion was absolutely minuscule and he got exactly the same reply as you did. Once it was checked there was no problem and the lobster came.

The waiter explained that on the more expensive protein portions they have limited supplies but if for example you want two of the always available items like steak or chicken then no problem at all.

The waiter was helpful but had to follow the rules.

Seems strange, many times my husband has been asked by the waiter if he would like 2 lobsters or beef wellington for that matter - as if we need that though with the amount of food we consume on our cruises!!!!!! LOL:cool:

  14. Never seen one on any of our P&O cruises.

If interested maybe have a word with the entertainment director and see if they can arrange it in the horizon.

Cunard do them - non hosted at 5pm on a certain side of the commodore club (crows nest) daily.

Have always seen these advertised on p&o cruises

  15. Having started this post re christmas and new year sailings I would like to add something regarding the itineraries. As has already been said passengers are fed up of Canaries and Caribbean flycruises. Why not not introduce somewhere new such as Dubai etc on a no fly cruise over the festive period. Most of the passengers on our Oriana cruise were 65 plus so mainly retired I am sure P and O would have no problem filling the ship.

I do not think I am on my own by stating that P and O will have to start seeking pastures new if they want to keep their seasoned loyal passengers who are fed up of the same year in year out itineraries.

YES totally agree with you, especially when you are doing a Christmas/New Year back to back and they make the itineraries exactly the same - people are getting fed up with this:cool:

  16. Hi I've been on Britannia before but didn't get to eat in the main dining room (was a celebration cruise so each night in speciality). Now looking to book a couple of cheeky cheap trips on Oceana (with only a main dining room budget !).

Please do not judge me, but I like my food.

On every other cruise line I've been on, when in the main dining room, I've always been able to order say two starters and two main courses that I've fancied, is this going to be an issue in the dining room on P&O ?

Yes I know theres a buffett for grazing, but I like to eat in the main dining room.

You have NOTHING to worry about - you can have whatever you want!!!!! 2 starters, 2 main course, main course as a starter, starters as main course, extra of whatever and so on - you only have to ask and they will deliver ENJOY

  17. just wondering if anyone on recent trips to St Lucia can tell me did they dock at Pointe Seraphine? I'm asking as a few friends have been with other cruise lines and not docked there. Wanting to go to Rum Therapy after a morning at the beach.

WE were on Azura from 15 December until 13 January and on the first call we were at Port Seraphine and the second call we were docked at the town side - but you can walk around in about 10 minutes or take the water taxi

  18. I've been to St Lucia 3 times in the last 3 years and docked every time in town. Really don't like it. I know my friend was on Azura for a month in December / January and they were in town too. If you click on this link and go to the bottom item on the list you can download the St Lucia schedules for the next few months. You can find out where you'll dock. If it's a number it's in town and P-S is obviously Port Seraphine.

  19. No not booked, taken, Crown Princess in May this year. We enjoyed the cruise very much. Interestingly we found the experience very much like P&O. We felt that it was around 90% the same.

Sorry misread your previous post - glad you enjoyed Princess - we have cruised with Princess & P&O for 25 years now and although we love P&O we really do think that Princess have the edge, still love them both though  some things we like better on Princess and the same with P&O. Definitely the way to holiday, in my view

  20. Thanks for the info! The Rhapsody of the Seas is well over 50,000 tons, its about 78,491 gross tonnage so I'm think its pretty safe to say it's gonna be at the cargo area.... any idea how much a cab ride might be to the train station? The scary part might be trying to get from the train station back to the ship since I think translation might be an issue. I can say train station and can say boat but I'm sure telling the taxi driver boat will do any good trying to get back to the ship hehe.

From where you are docking it is a very easy walk to the railway station and as you walk round the harbour to get there you will still be able to see your ship, if you look back, - so maybe this gives you an idea of how close the train station is
