  1. I just did a detail write up on Rum Point with lots of pics. We enjoyed our time at Rum Point, but sad to say the snorkeling did not work this time due to the current (wanted to do the drift snorkeling). But that is ok, as we will just have to return.

Thank you for the link. Very nice . . .

  2. Hi All,

I am on the Bermuda Cruise on the Granduer of the Seas in September and was wondering for those of you who may have done this cruise, did any of you purchase the horse carriage ride from the ship? Was it a 4 person horse buggy or one like the trolley train.

    Thanks.

We were there last November. Took the water ferry to Hamilton and found the horse carriage ride just to the right of where we exited the ferry. Very nice carriage with one horse leading it. I think four would be possible with passenger facing one another. There was a short route and a long route. We just paid at the location. I think it was $30 for the short route. My wife and I always take the ride when we visit. Surprisingly, the route has not changed since our first visit back in 1997!

  3. Will be leaving on 11/6/2014 (Thursday) on Vision of the Seas. We are Staying @ Embassy Suites on SE 17th Street. We usually cruise out of Baltimore and have always arrived at the port about 10 AM. We are usually checked in and on board by 11. Does a 10 AM arrival seem reasonable for Port Everglades? Also, for those that have stayed at Embassy Suites: do taxis need to be called for service to the port or are they waiting outside (taxi stand) on cruise days?

    Thanks in advance.
