Is the price really a significant chunk of change? For me personally, I would rather get double points in a regular interior.
For my sailing the solo with gratuities prepaid is $1286. Interior without gratuities with the 200% single charge was $2116. The solo cabin is a refundable deposit unti PIF date, so I might change IF the another rate comes closer but I do like natural light and unless the sailing needs to fill regular OV or Balconies I’ll likely stay in my solo room. Double points are nice but I really don’t sail often enough to worry about extra benefits.

Was on the Harmony a few months and did not have a problem with smoke or noise, the cabin was adequate and had a large porthole. However, would not book one of these cabins gain, way to small, I had to go outside to change my mind.
Than you! I know it’s small but enough savings for me to get the drink package and my excursions and still have spare change left over. And otherwise I’d spend too much time in the room as opposed to exploring the ship and that’s why I booked Harmony!

Just booked a solo ocean view cabin for next September. I was just noticing some concerns about the location of these rooms. If any one has stayed in one maybe they can help out.
First, they are on deck four under the running track on deck five. They do seem to be inset a little but I was wondering if purchase anyone has stayed in one of these rooms and noticed much noise from the joggers early in the morning? I get up early but like my peace and quiet.
Second, they are just outside the casino. I know it’ll smell smoky in the hall but I would hope it wouldn’t so much in the room.
I can live with both but need to know how bad (or not) to expect it to be. Obviously as a solo traveler in a tiny cabin, I won’t actually be in the room very much. -
Thanks Crewsweeper!
I just wanted confirmation that there are “NO GUARANTEES”
I am flexible and would just sit in the Serenity area for my views but she wants them from her own balcony, which I can understand.

Which ship is she sailing on? Which ship will determine which pier you are at.
Most ships dock with bow toward the island. Which side of the pier is determined upon arrival and presence or expected presence of other ships.
If by seeing the mainland, she means the mainland of Mexico, that may be difficult to do depending on the weather. And it will be far away.
If she means the island's land, the buildings, etc., it will depend upon if another ship is on the other side of her ship.
At the Punta Langosta Pier, if her ship is the only ship in she can see a lot of the northern end of town, and either up toward the airport or down toward the other two piers.
If at the International Pier, she may see either the Puerta Maya Pier ships or up toward Punta Langosta.
If at the Puerta Maya pier, she may see the International pier or south toward the southern beaches.
Thanks.
Carnival Legend next February and the mainland of Mexico for the water/ocean view. And yes, I mean it’s IMPOSSIBLE to know for sure how the weather will be that day and if another ship will berth next to them. She just wants to know the best chance of getting her view so wants to know which side, port or starboard, she should book.
Based on what you’ve said and what I recalled port side would overall be best?
But if it pulls in forward or another ship pulls between them and mainland I know she’ll pout. At least I am not sailing with her.

Is there any way to know which berth the ship will dock at? My sister wants a balcony and is requesting she can look at the mainland while on the ship. I believe it is impossible to know this for sure as the berths aren't assigned until much closer to actual port day. And then they sometimes pull in or back in for weather reasons. But I just want to make sure I've given her accurate information as she wasnt happy with my answer 🙄

Be careful, they do an 11:00 room check to make sure everyone is in the correct room....

We will all be using one cc to earn bonus points and paying to the card owner so no worries there.

My family booked with a rate that had 4 rooms available for picking but the other two rooms were GTY. We chose the ones for picking because we did like their locations . Once the GTY were assigned we realized one of them will work best for my mom because it is right off the stairs and she has mobility issues. However she currently in one of the preassigned rooms so we cannot switch names now. I remember on a previous cruise, about ten years ago, we were able to just go to guest services and get the seapass cards reissued when we needed to swap one guest. Is it still just as easy and does it work if both occupants switch?

For the drink classes do we just look in the daily activities? Or do we need to sign up beforehand?
-
Didn’t know how to title this topic. My family sailed Allure a few years back and we did the Prohibition Party. Also we did a mixology and martini class. Are there any activities that are like this on Liberty? Anything that isn’t widely known but really fun to do?
-
Thanks for all the answers. I was pretty sure it was easily doable but questioned it. As is we are still waiting for everyone to decide if the cruise works for them. Knowing my family it’s only 50/50 right now.
-
Thanks. Appreciate it. Years ago we did this with only three people and I recall not getting to airport until noon. But I don’t recall why. My memory sucks. That’s why I am always looking things up and asking questions (then I forget answers!)

Nothing is booked yet. Looking at cruise out of Miami in April but we have SW points so we will fly through FLL. Group of ten or more so we will have private prearranged shuttle. Only direct flight home departs 1:30pm. This is doable, right? Main concern is number of people, but with a prearranged shuttle should go fine. I just want reassurance. A 2:00 flight I wouldn’t worry about it’s that half hour that gets me nervous. 😊

Thanks guys!

I asked on FB but this board seems more dedicated. Is an 11:15am flight time doable? 15 cruises I have sailed San Diego, Miami, Ft.Lauderdale, SJU, NOLA, and Canaveral and always been to airport by 10am at the latest. Yes I know we would have to still get through security. I know it really means nothing but I’ve always been off a Carnival ship before our scheduled clearance time. Also I know anything could happen. But generally speaking is this doable? :)

Thanks all!!!

I checked in online back in March and no where did it say that boarding was done by decks. Today I get an email for our sailing of next Saturday that says our deck can't board until 3pm. I already made shuttle arrangements for our group of ten to be st port by 12:30. How much of a problem should I expect?
-
I was just on these boards to check out if there was an onboard app to use. As an iPhone user I am guessing not then. It seems strange RCCL is si far behind Disney and even Carnival. LOVE their onboard apps.

One more thing is what time would the shuttles start running FROM the cruise ship to the offices?
-
Thank you so much!!! This is just what I was looking for. So much appreciated after spending an hour googling everything but not getting what I wanted.
-
How easy is it to get to the rental office? I assume they have a shuttle located as you depart the ship? Also are there any cashless tolls I could not avoid on my way back to Orlando? I don't mind taking back roads and might prefer it as I have until 4pm to get to airport and no other plans for the day.
-
I was looking at this too, but in my case first I wanted the VOOM package. I usually spend about $30 a day or under on drinks while cruising but believe for the $7 total difference I would allow myself an extra drink a day.
My question now is with the % off a bottle of wine. If I order that in the MDR can I share with the table? Or can only I drink it? If answer is no think I will actually wind up skipping it, I am not the wine drinker and could save more by having the wine drinkers buy their own wine package.

If it said I missed it, but is it just some of the new cabins not being added or all scheduled new cabins? I sail in May and was disappointed the Library was being removed for more cabins. But if the Library is still there I will be super happy (old school) plus very happy that we won't have more passengers!
Harmony solo cabins questions

All the solo cabins are on deck 4 in one location. The lifeboats are on the deck above so the boats themselves are not an obstruction, but some of the roping does seem to hang down around some of the windows in the few pictures I’ve seen of the ocean view rooms.
