yes this includes the open bar for all cabins. A couple of things to note - 1) it only includes certain drinks/liquors. Premium liquors still cost. 2) Since the SKY is all inclusive there is no 18% service charge added to your drink order on free drinks - tip your server! We found a bar we liked and tipped big the first day, whenever the bartenders saw us they would always get our drink ready and wave us up even if there was a big line.
did you tip cash dollars? on the Epic I tipped $1 a drink (even tho there was gratuity on each tab) and just swiped it onto my room key. I've heard a rumor NCL keeps a record from your key of how much you tip, gamble, etc. Never brought much cash tipping since I could charge it all, but I'll adjust if that is expected.

Nicely done!
It is a great advantage if you live within driving range of a port, and are either retired or flexible with time off work, to be able to take advantage of this type of deal.
I am also in that fortunate situation...
That said, if there is a special cruise that is a "must", I will book in advance to be assured of sailing on it, and getting my choice of cabin.
Other times, I can just wait for a last minute bargain...if none develop, I'll just wait for the next one...:)
We are 15 hr drive to Miami, less to Canaveral, and the last minute (days before) price drops is the only way I can get hubby to spring for cruising. Cabins show up when people cash in the travel insurance. I'm always packed, ready to go! Just have to find a neighbor to feed the cats, jump in the car, drive all night, shower on the boat!

From memory, those look like the same drink menus as the Epic. I don’t get the package, but the martini flight is one of my fondest memories. That’s as much booze as I need in one evening (I ain’t what I used to be)

A lot of the Havana tours I’m looking at take cash only in Cuban currency. How does one go about getting enough for the day? I’m so used to charging everything internationally I don’t know what the up to date procedures are

I'm trying to talk Hubby into the Dec 11 for our anniversary. Never been on the Sky. Hubby isn't much of a cruiser but this is a short one maybe he'll indulge me.

I love the Gem - glad Blue Lagoon is gone, the only "blah" food I had on the boat was the midnight snack there. Instead of breakfast I found several coffee stations that had pastries - more than enough for me. Great Outdoors is wonderful, has "off hours" buffet set up, I eat at weird times from the rest of the world! If you watch the Amazon show "Transparent" one episode takes place on the Jewel, which looked just like the Gem to me!

cool review. someday I'll do the Haven, we did an inside tiny cabin last minute on the Epic and liked it fine. all we do there is sleep and shower, dont need much room, plenty of view areas to sit if I wanted. Its true you do sleep a lot in an inside, never known hubby to sleep so much. Our cabin steward was super fast with any request. I don't eat breakfast, hubby grabs an apple or banana from the buffet. We are still bronze but I plan on retiring on a ship someday, so I'm trying to build up points.
