We applied 4 wks before our cruises leaving 9 Apr 22 and 23 Apr 22. The 9 Apr was approved in less than a week with a confirmation email and the 23 Apr was approved a week later WITHOUT a confirmation email. I had to look online at my booking info to see that the $100.00 was approved. We used a Feb 22 statement for proof.

You need to go to Guest services (one person from each room) to request the balconies opened. The room steward will open the dividers.

I second the Cucumber Sunrise. Very refreshing. I also liked the sweeter drink "The Deal Closer" at the Alchemy bar. They will also make you a drink "off the menu" if you tell them what you like. I told them I like Key Lime Pie and they made me a drink that tasted like Key Lime Pie.

Dancing Grandmommy, The VA is offering the COVID vaccine in Omaha NE also.

I know we can't use the Carnival stock OBC for gratuties or the casino. Can we use it for the steakhouse or Chef's table if we wait until we're on board to book? TIA

So you're telling me that I can pick up the golf balls and the clubs right there at the putt-putt golf course? I don't have to check them out somewhere else (like guest services etc.)?
-
Can anyone tell me where I need to go to check out the golf balls and clubs? TIA

Does anyone know which MDR is used for the early/late set dining? TIA

I'm having a senior moment. Can we not enter our passport # and credit card info until our "30 days prior" check-in date? I know that we can't pick our check-in TIME until 30 days prior, but I thought there was a way to enter the other required info. Does anyone know if there's a way to get this done? TIA

Ask the bartenders at the Alchemy Bar to make you a Key Lime drink. You can also ask for a drink that tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. I can't tell you what's in either one of them but they are delicious!

We've always wanted to watch a Dive-In movie but never seemed to have the chance. This next cruise (Jan 2020) is a 14 day cruise and I WILL make time to see a movie under the stars. lol

We drive from the Omaha NE area down to the OK - TX border and stay at a huge casino there. We drive down to Galveston from there and spend 2 nights before our cruise. Makes for a longer vacation!!

Does anyone know if you can use the Carnival Share OBC if you BUY the shares AFTER your cruise is already booked? TIA

All of the interiors that we have had were nice and cool too.

I've never surprised anyone with a cruise, but.... I think it's a fantastic idea. Your older kids are the perfect age to take on the cruise. Don't feel guilty about leaving the little ones with grandpa and grandma. You might want to look at the "don't forget to take" lists that people share on this forum and also on pinterest. OTC meds are expensive on the ship as well as other forgotten items. I hope you have a great cruise and good luck not spilling the beans.

Try the Cucumber Sunrise at the Alchemy bar. It's not too sweet. You can also tell them what you like - ie. Key Lime Pie and they'll make something up that tastes like it. It was delicious!

Gemduncan,
If you get a chance you can email me and I'll give you some info on what a GREAT PVP can help you with.

Don't forget OTC medications. They're expensive on board. I also took 6 LARGE binder clips to clip on the bottom of the shower curtain. This added some weight and length so the curtain stayed inside the shower. Clorox wipes for disinfecting your cabin.

Ironically after I email AARP and posted here, my husband called me about 2 hours later and said UPS just delivered my gift cards. Go figure!

I ordered 3ea $500 gift cards and 1 ea $100 gift cards on 11/30/18. Today is 12/10/18 and I still haven't rec'd either the $100 (USPS) or the $500 cards from UPS. I haven't rec'd an email about them being shipped either. I just sent an email to AARP to see if they can help. My CC was charged on 11/30/18 after the purchase.

Deck 2. These rooms usually have a lifeboat over the balcony (not claustrophobic at all) although THIS particiular room was in between 2 lifeboats. My sister & BIL were in room 2341 and we were able to open up the divider between the 2 balconies. The lifeboat over their balcony did not interfere with their "part of the balcony" either. The plus for us was that we could sit out at any time of the day and not have the hot sun on us.

I absolutely love the Cove balcony, room #2337. We sat out on the balcony during a storm and never got wet. There was no noise from the dining room above. We will always book this room whenever possible.

I am also looking for a good PVP. My last one doesn't seem to work there anymore. Could you please send me your PVP's info? Thanks. cfink@ci.omaha.ne.us

Are Health Assessments no longer needed? I thought they had to be completed 72 hrs in advance of cruise. TIA
