As long As GOS has been the topic of much discussion so far this week, Lets continue but on a different note... Question for Debate is, If they were to ever replace GOS in Baltimore, what ships in the current fleet could be candidates? This certainly by no means is aimed negatively toward the GOS. I have cruised her and she is a beautiful Girl.(minus her wrinkles):D. As someone wrote in a prior post "How many times can you cruise the same ship?" So are we ready for a replacement or are we good for the years to come with GOS? Dan

Just Curious But isnt Carnival advertised as the "Fun Ship"? I agree about Sanitary situation in or near the areas serving for sure. Maybe Carnival will change their stance on that or maybe people will have to try something else. Dan

We were aboard liberty in August. We had deck 10 aft. JS. Absolute awesome cabin! No noise, Huge Balcony. Dan

Awesome post! Thanks for your time sharing info that is actually accurate as well as informative. Dan

I really wanna cruise this ship before she is eventually sent away to one of the other brands.

If it turns out to be 40 bucks I would highly recommend touring liberty anyway!! She's an awesome ship!! Dan

My son and I did the "All Access" aboard LOS last month. It was really Awesome. Great Crew aboard LOS, They answered any and all questions. I forget Who the Captains first assistant is but he was great. (I just remember he was from England). Anyhow I highly recommend and yes they did take a roll-call before the tour started. Dan

I seriously hope RCI doesnt cave on this one. People are ridculous.

Aintnofun007, You are so correct. It is the biggest crock of BS. There's obviously no rhyme or reason to the philosophies of Oil business. I also believe that business all together tends to operate without any form of "code of ethics" JMHO

For your particular situation i give another vote for Oasis/Allure. I think Labadee would probably also be great to have on the itenerary. Where ever you end up taking him, Enjoy. Its truly awesome that your family has atleast been given this oppurtunity! Dan

I have cruised voyages class several times. I recently cruised liberty for first time.they are very similar. I can't even say where the size difference would be. Both are very good classes of vessel. Dan

We just stayed in liberty JS 1706 aft . It was deck 10 so the overhang guaranteed no soot. No out of the ordinary vibration. Certain docking maneuvers some vibration, no biggie it's a ship lol. Never saw any soot at all on the cabins below us. I have almost always had an aft cabin and in the past experiences some soot. Cabin attendant will have it cleaned day to day. Fyi. Dan

Myself, wife and 2 boys just did the August 8th Sailing to Bermuda. It was our 6th and first aboard Liberty. She is a beautifully maintained ship. You would never in a million years guess that she has a drydock scheduled in jan. It was a fantastic trip. We had 1706 deck10 Aft JS. Olive and twist is a great place to relax and have a few drinks at night. Yes sorrentos is barely pallable, but at mid-night..... Have a great trip. Dan

Our 2 boys sailed Explorer in '12 and loved it. We are sailing Liberty in 4 days and we are taking them again. They had a blast on Explorer. I think your safe with any ship voyager class and newer. Dan

You stated you were looking at oasis/quantum class. They are great but I wouldnt rule out an aft corner Balcony on a freedom class ship as well. For instance if you look up deck 10 aboard liberty, you will see 2 junior suites next to eachother all the way in the aft. The rooms to the outside of these Suites are regular balcony rooms. These Balconys are Impressive. Good Luck! Dan
Hurricane & I'm leaving Friday :( What path might RCI take?
