  1. Has RCCL made any statements about how they plan to handle these scenarios?

    1) Family with adults vaccinated and kids not show up to debarkation and atleast 1 kid tests positive? Full refund or would RCI cruise insurance apply?

    2) Family with adults & kids vaccinated show up to debarkation port, does anyone need to take a test at the port?

Also isn't anyone concerned that with the 100% of vaccinated adults not being tested and the possible 5% of kids on each ship, it is *possible* anyone on that ship could get COVID-19 and therefor not be able to travel home post cruise?  Or did I miss a communication and maybe airlines/countries are not 'testing' vaccinated international passengers?

  2. Mustang93, as a person who always takes part in the deal when on board, I can say that I have noticed the price varies depending on the ship, debarkation port, and sometimes itinerary. We take about 2-3 cruises a year and in general I found departures from Florida to be way cheaper and usually about $31-$33 carton on average once you buy the 3-4 cartons needed for the deal. Our last cruise was Harmony in Sept 2019 going to St Maarten and this was my finding then. Whereas, our last cruise on Anthem in June 2019 had them about $38-$40 carton when buying the bulk deal. Hope this helps.

We've been trying to contact the casino for a couple days now. We get through the automated process and are put on hold. But when the phone rings (as if someone had picked up) there's no answer. This has happened on both my phone and my girlfriend's phone.

So far we've tried these numbers:

    18885612234

    18662133116

    18665197225

We're getting the same problem on all numbers. Any ideas what's going on? Is this happening for everyone? Are there any other numbers or ways to contact the casino we can try?

Have you tried https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/ to redeem your offer?  That is one way to contact them

Firstly, just to clarify, I am a UK cruiser so different rules on cancelling cruises apply to us versus the US, but not sure if this scenario would be different between UK?US

Does anyone know if I 'move' a cruise from one itinerary to another literary (I'm looking at moving a booked cruise due to Covid-19) am I able to take with it the casino rewards certificate which has been applied to the cruise?  We have a cruise booked for July and even if it goes (unlikely) we don't want to go with it!

However, the cruise has a $500 discount applied to it and I do know if I just cancel the cruise and get back the despot as a FCC, I will completely loose the $500 & it won't be re-instated for another cruise.  I just wondered if I called up and moved the date of the cruise to next year, will the casino credit move across with the booking?

Thank you in advance for your knowledgable responses.

Only Casino Royale can answer because it depends on EXACTLY which offer/discount is applied to that cruise. It never hurts to ask them, and they answer the phone very quick. To answer your question on just moving without going thru Casino Royale, when you book using a casino offer/discount, Casino Royale becomes your TA and changes to your reservation must go thru them.

Here is an important update for your Club Royale membership:

2019 & 2020 TIER STATUS EXTENSION. All Club Royale members will receive an extension of their 2020 tier status through March 31, 2022. Additionally, members who were in jeopardy of losing their tier status on the recent April 1, 2020 renewal date will receive an extension on their status through March 31, 2022. This means you will enjoy all your benefits and perks for the next 24 months.

ANNUAL CRUISE BENEFIT. Any members who were not able to take advantage of their 2019 annual complimentary cruise benefit will be able to redeem it through March 31, 2021.

CRUISE OFFERS. We remain committed to extending our cruise offers to you, and our Casino Representatives are here to assist whenever you are ready and able to travel once again.

As part of the Royal Caribbean and Club Royale family, our Casino Representatives are available at 888-561-2234 to support and assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

This is wonderful news as I was impacted and didn't get to use my 2019 cruise. Two years to earn Signature/Master status is also helpful. Now just have to get my FCC and book some cruises.

So after being on hold with Club Royale for 2+ hours- and speaking to a supervisor-  they will not allow me to move my free Prime cruise (which THEY cancelled) to a May cruise date.  They said i just get the port fees back and lose the cruise benefit.  I think this is very unfair.  I earned it and they should extend the ability to rebook this cruise within the next couple of months anyway  since they needed to cancel the cruises.  What is your opinion.  Of course i understand they needed to shut down but i still theink they need to honor this.

We are in the exact same situation, believe it or not the last time this occurred to us (100% free cruise and Royal cancelled and refund / FCC was given) we received a FCC equal to the value of the cruise fare rate, not what was paid to them. So I will be waiting to see if that occurs again before requesting my refund. Luckily we had already both earned of prime status for April 2020 on prior cruises otherwise I would be upset.

My suggestion to you is to wait and see how much FCC they offer before requesting a refund.

  7. I have a casino comp cruise coming up later in March where all I technically paid was taxes and port fees, casino covered the actual cruise rate itself. I am thinking of cancelling, would I and my other passenger be entitled to any FCC if I cancel?  I'd hate to throw away a free cruise but timing is not perfect.

Points are reported to Casino Royale after your last day of the cruise. So it would count for the 4/1/20 year.

That does not match what I was told from Casino Royale as I am also on a cruise that leaves on 3/30/19. I was told all points would count toward 4/1/18 - 3/31/19 vs 4/1/19 - 3/31/20. It also doesn't make sense for them to give a free cruise in one year and count the points in another year. Or maybe I figured out a good kick start to the years progress.

  9. How much was the rental for the day? Thanks!

I picked up at hertz FLL airport and returned to crown plaza location. Worked perfect as we had some free time to get last second items and lunch before boarding. $28 for a Chevy Malibu. It was perfect for us. Shuttle took us directly to ship. Didn’t even have to buy gas.

  10. One thing to consider is that while Bermuda's public transport system is phenomenal, it shuts down pretty early. So if you want to experience the nightlife in, say, Hamilton, you'll be on the hook for a not-insignificant cab ride back to the ship.

Ok now I’m curious since I had planned a night out in Hamilton while docked... are you talking over $60 USD? That is what I had anticipated by another prior thread.

  11. Definitely check one way car rentals from mco airport, specifically Avis. I recall last time I did this (2 years) it was $28. I just had to pay for some gas and few dollars in tolls. I preferred this cause we always tend to stop by a Walmart or grocery store just prior to embarking. Car rental Shuttle was free (just a small tip to driver for bags) directly to ship. Worked perfect and have done it both ways to ship and from ship. I refuse to do taxi, Uber, or shuttles from the airport cause it is usually more expensive or same price.

  12. Pretty sure I met Bob and his significant other (wife?) on our FOS cruise. They introduced there selves to us during an indoor muster drill and talked about cruise critic with us which we had never heard of thus far. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting them again in person, I can say that Bob’s advice or suggestions have never been incorrect in my personal experiences.

  13. I honestly think it is on purpose that jr. suites cannot make reservations in coastal kitchen in advance. It is meant for the star & sky class sea pass holders by default, and only if availability permits do they allow sea class members and that is only for dinner where star and sky members have other free dining venues available to them. So availability is tied to the star and sky folks taking advantage of the other fine dining venues on the ship.

  14. I was on harmony in a jr. suite in December 2016. While we were allowed to dine in coastal kitchen for dinner only, our ‘royal sea class’ sea passes would not open the door at dinner time nor were we ever able to make reservations in coastal kitchen. Since we always dine at 8 or later it was never a problem for us, we dined in coastal kitchen at least 4 times that week. I found the service and food menu to be slightly better than main dining room. They confirmed we were allowed and could eat there every day if we wanted. Every day I had to knock on the door or wait for someone leaving to enter.

  15. I am thinking of also booking on next cruise as I did last year for my upcoming cruise. But I am finding it confusing still. Based on the great links you all posted, it appears OBC can no longer be used for the current sailing. Also if you change your reservation in any way by room or date, you must pay $100 change fee. It also says on the Next Cruise flyer there are no more reduced deposits. So the 11 night balcony with a non refundable deposit is still $500 for 2 people. Am I reading that wrong?

I can say that Bob was correct, I booked my 11 night on board via next cruise and the deposit was only $200.
