Does anyone know if I can purchase a bottle of Pastis on board? What about Campari? If not, am I left having to buy individual drinks at a bar every time? That will get expensive

I would also like to know about campari.. If I cant sit with a campari and soda on the verandha for breakfast I may have to cancel ;)

Am I mis using the new web site or does HAL seem to have really cut down on Croatia next year (15) .. Adriatic dream looked excellent this year but seems to not exist for future years (though I could be totally looking in the wrong place)

IGLU.com sometimes seems to show how many rooms are available and the discounted price though to be honest I have never got a good deal out of them; even when they say last few rooms and special price it still seems to be cheaper to book direct

Corkage, by definition, is a fee paid for the service of a guest's own wine at an establishment. When you buy wine from the establishment, their markup pays for the cost.

Reading it that way it actually makes the corkage quite good value when you consider most of the wine list is made up of pretty average supermarket wine with hilarious mark up.

Its probably better value buying a cpl of decent wines in every port and paying the corkage (but is this only for cabin use ?)

Not necessarily; We got a Viking River Cruise booklet - For NEXT autumn. I think it showed maybe 3 current/fall2014 cruises full. We've NEVER taken one [ HAL is our Fav line/SEA cruises] but this one looked interesting to us because of WW11 history - From Rumania to Amsterdam. We had wanted the reverse; Am to Ru -NONE were available!!!!!! So we got the last cabin in a northwest bound. This is for September 2015!!!!!We booked on the DAY the booklet arrived! Last week!

I think Viking email out new availability to previous cruisers first followed by subscribers - as they get a lot of repeat bookings and the boats are small they do tend to sell out quickly as they offer quite big discounts on early bookings (at least in Europe anyway)

Hoping for early boarding then as its the sacrifice festival in Turkey so none of the major sites will open till the afternoon anyway - should give us time to settle in and grab some lunch. Do we then just use our passes to come and go or will we have to re check in?

When do you find out the time you will be picked up from your hotel if you have booked HAL transfers from the airport to Hotel and then Hotel to Ship the following day..

Just wondering if we will have plenty of time to see the city on our sail day as we don't leave till late..
