  1. it is a kick in the teeth to people in South Carolina. North Carolina. Kentucky. Georgia. Tennessee. Alabama. Mississippi

which keep that ship sailing FULLY BOOKED most of the year.

First they take KEY WEST away. That was a HUGELY popular cruise. We took it. Loved it.

    Now this.

Jacksonville gets the most positive cruise reviews of any port Carnival operates. My Son in Law works at the Port. Logistics.

Nice hotels around the airport. Much cheaper than Miami.

I follow cruise news and prices as everyone on this board does..

MIAMI and TEXAS discount cruises. NOT Port Canaveral. Not Jacksonville..and yes every ship does sometimes....but people on Fascination....many have cruised on that ship..seven...eight times. EASY to drive too. I-95. I-10.

When Mayport is dredged, as our Mayor is doing right now..and JaxPort is expanded..I PRAY a NCL or RCI comes in.....

Completely agree it's time for Jacksonville to build the port to support the big ships much more convenient for people who don't want to add on 5 more hours of driving plus it would be a great resource for the city

  2. For me; and I accept other opinions too, but for me, because of the fact that I only use room service two to three times in a week long cruise, I say this new menu works for me.

I will greatly miss the chicken fajita sandwich, and would have loved to try the shrimp salad thingy, but it took me 6 carnival cruises to even ever try the blt.

Breakfast remains the same, and is more than adequate for me, who is not a big breakfast eater.

Will I pay extra for some of the new offerings ? maybe, but more likely not.

I will miss some of the previous free offerings, but there are still more than enough on that menu to help me stave of hunger pains without racking up more on my sail and sign account.

I had always wished they would add a cheese plate to the room service menu, but know that cheese is expensive. That is the one item that I might indulge in.

All in all, this menu is still acceptable to me.

just my opinion, and we are all different, so others are entitled to theirs as well.

You can still order the cheese plate in MDR and take it back to your room for free :)

  3. It's a different table each time in my case and we always asked for a table for two only saw them seating multiple parties together for the tables by windows we don't care to sit by a window so no big deal there and yes singing and dacing every night around 7pm. I will always choose atd now on
