A lot travel agents assume (probably correctly) that people won't know what these codes mean and will just get worried/confused if they see them, so they don't mention them in the documents they send you. If you contact your TA they should be able to tell you the codes on your booking, or just send you the confirmation from NCL. You can also try calling NCL (they will probably tell you to go through your TA but this seems like information they should be able to give you directly). There is nowhere to look this up yourself online, you'll have to call someone.

Thank you so much! I will ask the TA. My prior TA was my mother (who has since retired), who knows me well enough to know I always want the esoteric info.

No problem - this promo offer, apparently, still not widely publicized on NCL's website and one of the several PCC that constantly "bomb" our F&F circles still hasn't alerted us about this renewed offer, LOL.

Just got an updated amenity/confirmation, 2 CNC successfully applied today to our "OB" booking and still coded, among others, LATDBLX

Next, going to do the Meta upgrade using BOA's points to move up to a balcony, let's see what we can get or choose, LOL.  Wish us luck 😁 😆 😉 😎

Is that LATDBLX code on an invoice from your travel agent or NCL? I just got an invoice from my travel agent and there were no codes I could find on it. I looked up an old invoice from my prior travel agent from 2019 and it did have codes, so I’m trying to figure out how to ask the new agent without sounding odd or high maintenance. If the codes are on an invoice on the NCL site or something, that would be great.

  3. Just wanted to thank everyone in this thread - I clicked out of idle curiosity to learn more even though I have no Alaska plans.  I didn't even know where the coupons were located on the NCL account page until now!  I saw the posts about the 20% Europe coupon and, lo and behold, I actually had it, and it applies to the sailing we were planning to book in October!  Very thankful for all of the knowledgeable people on this site - that's a big savings on an 11 night cruise.

If it is a latitudes promotion, why do you think that being logged in wouldn't make a difference?

It seems strange that it would show more cruises that say they qualify for the double points when I’m not logged in than it does when I am. Also it was showing different options to me and my husband when we are at the same level. But I don’t pretend to understand how the back end of the NCL website works.

I just finished reading this thread and I have a headache.  Some of you folks have a PhD level of understanding how the website and promotions all tie in!

All I can say is be careful poking around the NCL site if you've already have a booked cruise.  I've see it do some strange things recently.

That is very sage advice. I will stop messing around with searches for the time being - do not want to jeopardize what’s already there!

I wish they had a list instead of searching through the cruises.

I was just saying this to my husband because the NCL website is barely functional and confusing.  I would think that the double/triple points apply to specific cruises for any Latitudes member... but when I try to search by that promo, I'm getting different available options depending on whether I am logged in or not, which makes no sense.  It should not be this hard to figure out a promo.

    - I thought the Waterfront of deck 8 was supposed to be a quiet area?  This was my refuge on the Escape and Bliss.  On the Getaway I had to endure 30+ minutes of a lady reading the schedule off the Freestyle Daily as if it was the Emancipation Proclamation.  Lady, they printed that thing for a reason!  I think she was trying to impress the Quebecois with her command of American English.  I had a prime seat so I wasn’t going to give it up for her.  I ride the subways daily so I’m conditioned to endure and ignore a lot of things.  Meanwhile her husband was sitting there staring at her as if he was seeing the rapture happening.  Sheesh.

Pete, you are a delight. This made me laugh out loud at my desk.

  8. I am so enjoying your adventures, Pete!  You are a wonderfully funny writer.  I also read (after the fact) your "live" on the Prima from October.  When you have some downtime and aren't using precious ship minutes, I would love to hear your perspective on the pros and cons of each ship.  I am planning a fall Europe cruise and my two top contenders are on the Getaway and the Prima, and I'm having a hard time deciding.  You have a great open-eyed and detail-focused way of cruising and I am curious which ship has felt more appealing to you.

The biggest problem I see in this thread is just not knowing the extent that this would affect the trip as a whole, and making assumptions based on the "type" of crowd it is.

Exactly.  OP is making assumptions based on cruises held by another company (Uber Soca), which are 21+ cruises that look like they take over the whole ship, which is not what this other branded Soca cruise on the Prima seems to be.  Regardless, there's no one on this forum who is going to be able to make OP or anyone else feel better about this trip, because we don't have any more information than they do.  The only entity that actually knows what is planned is the Fetetopia company.  They have a phone number on their website so I would personally call them and ask the questions I wanted to ask.

So we made a scene? Grow up!

Could one of the smart people show everyone where NCL has a age restriction! When you make reservation at the specialties you have to pay in advance correct?

    Sure, here you go:

So many cuisines to choose from! Make dinner on every night of your cruise a delicious adventure at one of our Specialty Restaurants. Kids 12 and under eat free from the complimentary kids' menu at all specialty restaurants. Excludes dinner and a show dining events.

The courts do not look at the contracts unless an attorney from NCL brings it to their attention with a motion to dismiss. That costs money, Time and bad press. Large corporations generally find it easier to settle quickly and quietly.

Literally even Judge Judy would ask to see the contract in a case like this.

Fun times at Cagney’s tonight. An older lady was alone waiting for her husband. A crew member checked on her and I guess called their cabin and he came down about 20 minutes later but once he arrived I thought they would come to blows but no joy. They worked it out enough for them to eat together.

Can I sit with you? 😂 This is exactly the kind of petty drama I love to observe. (Sadly I am not on the ship to eavesdrop.)
