  1. At port canaveral there is a separate suite waiting area and suite check in line that you get to use in jr suites.

She will know upon getting her set sail pass as it would be silver in color for js guests. If she is observant she might notice the difference upon checkin.

Thanks. I didn't know that the sea pass cards would look different. I guess finding out at check in will be cool though

  2. Are you in one of the solo studio rooms? I’ve booked in the Epic for October 28 and am in one. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Epic. What are your thoughts on the ship?

The complaints that I have read about the Epic usually revolve around the odd bathrooms in the balcony cabins and the smoking in the casino. For these 2 issues... I'm in a studio so I don't care about the balcony cabins. Lol. And for the smoking in the casino it is no different than any of the other 5 ships that I have been on.

I went last March and I had a great time. though I do wish the ship had the waterfront like the getaway, breakaway, escape. But the pools are sooo much better on the Epic. Also the adults area at the back of the ship has a small pool which is nice. Do you have any questions that I can help with?

One thing, make sure to go to the studio lounge for drinks around 530, people will be gathered there every evening and we would all go to dinner together.

  3. I wanted to make a seperate thread on this room because I just finished a cruise in the room. I booked it because it was close to the mini-suite my parents were in and didn't have a connecting door (which I had the first time I sailed the Epic and I felt like I could hear the tv in the next room the whole trip). About a week before I went I looked for cruise room reviews and everyone was saying how loud the doors were (its between the doors to the studio lounge and the doors the main hallway.)

I just wanted to let people know since then they have change the mechanisms on the doors and they don't slam any more. I think I heard one close 1 time over the course of 7 days. I would highly recommend the room because it was so close to the elevators and the lounge, so the location, to me, was great. I will say that often times the door to the hallway didn't close all the way - that didn't bother me, but if that is one of the reasons you are booking the studio - it is probably just something good to know.

Happy to answer any questions about the cabin.

Thank you for your review. I am sailing in March and had been thinking about switching to this cabin. I am a heavy sleeper and having easy access to my cabin is very appealing. I went ahead and switched to 12515 and I will come back and share my experience in 2 months. Thanks again!

  4. Folks! Sorry I haven’t been posting, I missed a few days and never got round to providing the updates and just really couldn’t be bothered to carry on!!! So I’m not ill, injured, missing any tech items...just suffering from a bad bout of extreme laziness! I have had a ball, brilliant trip with fabulous people. Hilights include two bar crawls, the most recent taking place yesterday with some fellow cruise critic-ers. That was an immense day of booze and laughs and I highly recommend this pastime. It’s our last day today, GSC was cancelled so we’ve come back to Nassau where it’s a bit chilly to say the least.

So I’ll love you and leave you and maybe I’ll become a better cruise citizen as the cruise fam reunion is in July and will no doubt bring more crazy fun. In the meantime I’ll be giving Royal a go in April on the Oasis. And I’ll be doing a ‘side to side’ at Christmas (thank you Art for advising the correct terminology!) involving the Bliss and the Getaway.

    Happy cruising y’all!!!

I'm just happy tou are ok and having a blast. Glad you focused on the experience.

  5. Brad,

I think I’m correct in saying this may be somewhat outdated, but I could be wrong. I think the % went from 18 to 20.

Being Positive makes life better. Look for the Good not the Bad

I just took it off the website about 10 minutes ago, but it may be outdated. I don't know why you would suggest that I was looking for the bad?

I posted it to counter the spread of false info about a limit to the UBP being limited, nothing more. I love NCL and I am very positive about them since I have had nothing but great cruises with them. I am going on the Epic in 89 days... but who's counting LOL. Happy sailings everyone
