If I was you I would price up the difference in cost between a Sky Suite plus dining package vs Signature Suite. I would then consider how much you would enjoy the extra bits of the higher suite package like the in suite bar set up, included laundry…Booking a RS/PH works for us because we do dine in the speciality restaurants, love the bigger rooms, in suite bar set up and enjoy the other perks. However, we have friends who are very happy booking balcony rooms and simply book a dining package…On boarding they usually get the exact times and venues they want too. I think it is more when you try to book a venue last minute that ‘room status’ can come into play. The ‘right’ room for anyone is the one that gives you what you want at a price you are comfortable with…Only you can decide that.
Thanks. I have stayed in RS a few times on the Silhouette.
The difference between the aft sky and the Signature is £1748 pp So £218 per person per night.
The sky suite is £3548 for the 8 nights or £443.50 per person per night.
I would get a lot of meals for that increase over the 8 nights haha!
I am Elite Plus so laundry is included, so really it is space, meals and a couple of bottles of alcohol.
choices.....

No walk in shower that I remember. I am very short (5ft) and it was somewhat difficult to move in and out of the tub shower, which had a high wall...especially if the ship was moving a lot. My husband who is taller, did not have the entrance problem, but missed the walk in shower found in RS (which is our usual choice).
That is my big concern.
The RS shower is great.
My wife is older and my only concern might be getting in and out of the bath for a shower. I think I did see a grab handle, but if the bath is too deep that will be an issue.
My choices currently are staying with an aft corner sky suite or Signature suite at a much higher cost.

The biggest difference between the two suites is the perk level. The CS only gets the same perks as the Sky Suites, the Signature Suite gets the same perks as the RS and PH. This includes unlimited speciality dining, in suite bar set up, free laundry. We particularly loved the unlimited speciality dining on reflection with the additions of the Lawn Grill and Porch (we were in a RS).
Big difference.
Considering the signature - but I am a bit concerned by extra movement of the ship being higher up.
Currently in an aft sky on deck 10 as all RS suites etc. are fully booked.
We would eat all the time in speciality - but whether we will get tables being in a Sky suite is my concern. Can probably have more options open in a higher grade suite.

Curious to know what the differences are between the Silhouette before it was revolutionised and the Reflection.

Although you can sign up for them.
I have just been told on the Beyond that Celebrity can't work out who has signed up.
So unfortunately here on the Beyond they simply ignored it.

as a suite cruiser I'm very glad to see this made permanent by X.
This is good news that the lounge will only be for suite guests.

I was rather disappointed that I did evening chic and the menu was not good. We booked Murano for the evening chic. Disappointing to dress up for the occasion and the menu was sub par.
Regular menu every night.
Apart from breakfast, we rarely eat in there. -

There’s a big difference in the CS and RS with regards to amenities. The 3 things Jim mentioned are not included with a CS. And you don’t get more points if you do a move up. You only get the points of the original stateroom.
I didn't say that there wasn't a difference, what I meant was I can't think of anything that would be missing on the upgrade.
You get the alcohol, unlimited dining and launderary (2 per cruise) as a benefit of the larger suite - but nothing else should be missing. -

You definitely get the room amenities - Bar Setup, Unlimited Specialty Dining and Laundry. They sure could use some proof readers.
Going from a CS to a RS, I can't think of any amenities that would be missing.
The CS has everything else already.
Maybe additional points? But that is about it. -

Our Silhouette April 21 - Southampton to France/Spain/Portugal opened at 45 days but as of this morning (30 days) still can not select an arrival time. It may have something to do with this being the first cruise out of Southampton.
Probably more to do with the fact that they can't decide on testing

Last thought of the night - I'm blown away by the crew of the Silhouette. They are not allowed off the ship, so some have been stuck aboard 7 months or more. The biggest dangers to their health are the passengers that they spend their very long days serving. They are still wonderfully gracious and friendly every single day, doing everything they can to make us happy. The CD just announced that the AV team and some performers are going to be available for a late musical performance in the theatre at 10pm. I imagine they're worried for their friends who are sick and for themselves as this omicron situation continues to unfold. But the show must go on. Very grateful for everything they do.
They are allowed off the ship. They had to do tours (AFAIK) , but were allowed off.

Currently heading towards the ABCs - not aware of any planned changes.

Why would you re-upload if it is already showing as complete?

The reason you didn't get charged extra for upcharge food items in the specialty restaurants was because a amenity of the PH, and other high end suites, is complimentary dining in the specialty restaurants.
People in the top suites were charged for the extra items during the summer. -
Hopefully this will be brought in straight away
Actually I might write to Celebrity and ask them to adopt this policy to keep us safe from some of those posting here 😂
Celebrity is the only cruise line in the group (AFAIK) not to mandate masks, so I can see that changing rapidly.- 7

No signs anywhere. The other day, when my wife and I returned from a shorex and got on an empty elevator, another guest came on behind us and tried to hold the door open for a zillion other people. My wife politely said to him “four people max for safety” and he looked at us like we were crazy.
That is a surprise.
What did the crew say when you asked about social distancing etc.? -

There is no social distancing in the MDR, the theatre, or the elevators, despite what it says on Celebrity’s website
Are the elevators no longer marked with a sign saying only 4 people or 4 X's on the floor? -
A bit daft asking now - wait until the European protocols have been issued by Celebrity.
Then ask again about a month before.
Bit like me asking what will the entry rules be to the USA next July?- 1

X requires(currently) a Covid test within 2 days. We sail on Monday and are traveling all day on Sunday. If I have the test on Saturday, will that suffice or do they want it on Sunday? We sail on Jan 3, so the holiday doesn’t help.
Saturday or Sunday.
The day of sailing doesn't count.
This information is clearly on the Celebrity website.

We are on the Millennium leaving Fort Lauderdale on Dec 13.
Ah okay - I know the Silhouette leaves that day and that shoreside concierge is off now for a couple of weeks..
To be honest you do et good and bad - our first one was very poor, but she had been replaced by a chap on our previous cruise and he was much better.
I would email as above and chase them up. Not good that top suites are left without assistance. -

"Effective February 1, 2022 all guests 5 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated, at that time unvaccinated children between the ages of two and four years old will be required to take a PCR test at the Pier and an Antigen test at the end of the cruise."
The European updates are slower than US ones.
Celebrity Reflection Signature Suites. Thoughts?
