  1. We're in Bologna and have only just had an email about the changes.

I spoke to rc today and they didn't mention the change of port!

To say it's been stressful today is an understatement.  Having found and booked a car transfer to ravenna.

I wish rc would be more forthcoming with information.

I feel for my fellow cruise mates that are in ravenna now and will have to make their way back up to Venice first for check in.

  2. Hi,

we are staying near the convention centre in I.Drive, Orlando for a couple of days after flying in from the UK, and will need a transfer to Port Canaveral.

Does anyone know the approximate cost and the names of any companies that provide this service.

I only seem to find companies that go from Orlando airport and a few surrounding hotels?

    Many thanks for any information.

  3. We are sailing in Jan 24 on the Wonder for our 40th wedding anniversary.

Having seen on CC  that there may be a large religious group on board, I emailed Royal and asked them to confirm if that will be the case next Jan, so we can make an informed decision about changing our cruise.. They said they don't know yet and should keep checking in the next few months!

I explained that as we live in the UK we need to book flights soon (to guarantee Virgin Premium cabin Flights). Once our flights are booked we will not be able to change them.

    They still haven't replied .

I really don't want to be on a cruise with lots of children or where some of the venues are closed if you are not part of that group.

This is not a cheap trip and I am getting very frustrated by Royal.

  4. You don't need to look far to find information about the harm that vaping causes, not just to the vaper/smoker.

It doesn't bother me if people want to vape, but nowhere near me please!

As Royal have a rule about no smoking or vaping except for designated areas, surely as law abiding, educated adults it not too hard to adhere to?

I recently saw a news item where a vape exploded, if nothing else this should be a consideration.

  5. We're not too happy about the swap as Mykonos and Santorini were the point of booking this cruise as we haven't been to either before.

We've been to Athens and seen all of the sights that we wanted to see, so we'll be staying on the ship and making the most of our deluxe drinks package and food options.

  6. Hi,

just a heads up if you are on this cruise we received this email a short time ago.
The itinerary has been changed but the planner and app have not been updated.

    Dear Guest,

To ensure a smooth embarkation process, we’ll now depart from Venice (Ravenna), Italy at 7:00 PM. Additionally, due to a change in itinerary planning, we’ve replaced our visit to Mykonos with Athens, Greece, and we’ll now visit Santorini on Day 4. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. Nevertheless, we’re excited to take you to a new port, and know you’ll enjoy some extra time to exploring Santorini! Below, please find our revised Explorer of the Seas May 21st, 2023 itinerary.

Athens offers a looking glass back in time into Greece's powerful ancient civilization. Walk to the Zea Harbour to discover how the Hellenic Maritime Museum will bring to life the grandeur of ancient Greece's naval capacities. Satisfy your palate and sample the local dishes prepared with sun-ripened tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, and fresh seafood, like mussels and grilled octopus. Whatever you decide to do, we’re sure you’ll have a memorable time!

Any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions booked for Mykonos will automatically be refunded to your original form of payment. Our Shore Excursions team will automatically reschedule any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions affected by this change. In the meantime, feel free to browse all the exciting shore excursion options for your sailing in Cruise Planner to level up your vacation.

Important Note: In Santorini, all guests will be tendered to shore. Unfortunately, tender boats are not accessible to guests who are full-time mobility scooter or wheelchair users. Guests who are unable to take a few steps on stairs or walk across from the tender platform to and from the tender may be unable to go ashore. We’re sorry for the impact to your vacation, and we hope you understand that your safety and well-being comes first. Guests who use collapsible wheelchairs and who can take steps will be able to go ashore. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (866) 592-7225 or email special_needs@rccl.com.

Thanks for your understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard Explorer of the Seas!

    Sincerely,

Does anyone know how much the transfer from the ship to Bologna airport costs please. There will be four adults, two children and a one year old on the cruise. We’re sailing in late May out of Ravenna

    Hi,

I called RCI and they said contact your TA for prices.

My TA  quoted £37pp from port to Bologna airport. We are booked on the latest transfer to bologna airport at 9am. As well have time to kill before our flight home we'll get the monorail back to town and have a lunch/brunch.

For two of us it was the cheapest (and least hassle) way to do it.

    We also go in May.
