Sounds like his issue was lack of preparedness and general rudeness, not paper vs. digital pass.
Don't assume that people who prefer to print their passes aren't comfortable with tech. It's just a preference for this particular situation.
Nailed it. Personally I prefer paper backup when technology is down or failing to connect when needed

We are still having the same issue with two of our cruises. We get to the cruise contract screen, but once we hit continue (which should take us to the select boarding time page), we get:
with no way to exit the page.
Since we can't get past this page, the boarding pass never populates in the system, so there is nothing available to print.
Exactly, same here.

Wow, I didn't expect this much discussion but back to my question. My DW and I are checked in but both on the computer and RCI phone app, it still says it's too early to request boarding time. I know the last 2 sailings on Norwegian and Carnival, I was unable to get a boarding time until 72 hours before embarkation. Wondering if RCI is now doing the same thing.

Part of the check in 45 days prior to your sailing is picking your arrival time. You can print your set sail pass from the website.
I checked in but it didn't give me the option of picking a boarding time. We are 43 days out.

Checked in for our Nov cruise. Can you still print your boarding pass? How many days before embarkation do you request your boarding time, I simply forgot. Thx

It's been awhile since I requested OBC, do you send an e-mail directly to Carnival requesting it or is there a form to fill out as well? Thx in advance.

Mine have always been nonrefundable first then refundable.

On Serenade this past April, asked and was told they no longer have and the only place to get them was through room service.

Hi @JTBCruiser🙂
Please Note Below:
It is important that your bookings are referenced as Back To Back, so if you booked online, be certain to call Carnival to have this done.

Thank you!! I called my TA to ensure he contacted Carnival to link the bookings. He just confirmed he did so.

We will be sailing on the Magic in Feb on our first back to back. We will be in the same cabin. I believe we can leave everything in our cabin when we disembark on the first leg and simply return when we embark on the second leg, is this true?

We recently had JS 1100 on our Western Caribbean sailing. DW's sister and BIL had an interior cabin so we had plenty of space for them to join us on the aft balcony. 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs and 2 tables. Absolutely loved it. Minimal noise from the WJ above and very peaceful to enjoy drinks as we enjoyed the view.

three of us in the cab was $18 each way last month
So it was only $6 per person? That sounds really low as I remember paying over $20 a year and a half ago.

I did a search but couldn't find any recent info on how much it cost going from port to Nachi Cocom taxi one way. Thx in advance.

Am I the only one that thinks specialty dining is highly over rated? Their quality has diminished also IMHO
We've tried Chops 4 times and each time it was progressively worse. Unless we sail for more than 10 days, will avoid the specialty restaurants.

Thanks for the information! Do you know if its possible to have a tour that goes around the whole island?
Yes. Go to his website and you will have an opportunity to contact him and ask for details. Again we were very pleased with him and the prices paid.

Update, I was able to print our boarding passes without uploading a photo.

Highly recommend Victor Bodden tours. Private tour but less than ship excursion. The more people in your group the less per person price. It includes RT from ship back to port. We used this tour twice and loved being able to select where and what to do. Small van with A/C and great tour guide.

Sincerely appreciate all the feedback, it was very helpful. Will try to upload photos but if it doesn't work, no big deal, will do at the port. Smooth sailing to all.

Do you have to upload a photo to check in and print your boarding pass? I elected to not upload and I'm unable to print my boarding pass. The last time I sailed this wasn't required. I know things have been changing lately, thx in advance.

Yes, I was able to get a cappuccino with a squirt of flavor for each voucher. I only ordered a small, I don’t know what size you can get with a voucher
m
I'm hoping to get the largest available.

Yes. I get a large Chai Tea Latte with soymilk almost every day. I also give a $1 tip to the barista.
Sounds great, thanks for the quick response!

Can I use one of my vouchers to get a specialty coffee at Cafe Lattitudes?

Wasn't sure to post here or on the Alaska forum page. Looking at doing this PreCruise Starting in Fairbanks, embarking in Seward and sailing to Vancouver. Anyone do this before? NCL is offering free flight for 2nd person which looks to be a very good deal flying out of St Louis to Anchorage then Vancouver to St Louis. Looking for feedback on the quality of them booking flights. I know the Royal Air to Sea program is nothing short of horrible. Appreciate any feedback both pro and con. Thanks in advance.

Cheers Package Questions
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
This will be the first time for us to have the Cheers package and have a few questions. Are tips automatically included in the package or do we tip separately for each drink? I'm assuming the package covers alcohol, soda, specialty coffee and fresh squeezed juice, is this correct? Any other advice to offer for the first timer? Thx in advance.
