I think their is a problem with the 6 foot rule if it becomes the norm for restaurants for cruise ships seating. Teppanyaki is a L shaped close seating arrangement which is not possible with the 6 feet rule. So this venue may not be available.

Will cruise insurance for 65 and older cruisers double in price do two the virus.Or will more people buying insurance because of the virus keep prices the same. Also will they change the wording in polices to make li harder to cancel for medical reasons.

The CDC may cancel all cruises for the rest of the year if cases across the country keep rising.

This may be the case initially as you get on board but as Happy2b@sea's post (#2) above says, all you have to do is go to the reception desk and they will adjust your card to give you access to the studio area/lounge. NCL is very solo friendly to all solo cruisers on board.
If you read all the follow up on your statement you will see that what i said was the correct NCL rule.

I have stayed in solo cabins and balcony. Only those staying in a studio cabins have key cards that will open the door to the studio area.

I think they will cut back on entertainment because of the six feet rule. No more comedy club or dueling pianos. The cavern club is to small for shows.I think they will go to 3 shows for each main event show this will allow them to space out the seating for those shows.

The Leonardo series of 3 ships ordered over the next 3 years. The first one was to be ready the end of 2021 has anyone heard any thing about these new ships.

Every paid restaurant is available for lunch or diner on the dining plan on must ships.

Their use to be a note on the balcony deck charts where the bed was located. It was taken away a few years ago. My suggestion is to call your NCL assigned agent i think he may have the information and answers for you

Maybe the bigger ships would make social distancing easier.
If you have been on the 4000 plus ships on sea days and evenings the decks 6 to 8 are a zoo of people on top each other. The elevators are loaded with people very close to each other. Large ships are more likely to spread the virus more quickly.

Which wold be more popular ships those with 2000 to 2500 or ones with 4000 to 5000 passengers when cruises are started up again. Which would you feel safer on if the virus where still being reported. If bookings are down it will be harder to fill the Breakaway class ships. Will they avoid ports like NYC and will other ports refuse their entry. These are many of the problems NCL will have to solve to get back in business.

Who is going on cruises this year. The largest % of cruiser are age fifty and above that is the worst % group for catching the virus. Cruise ships have been known for years as a place that is hard to control virus from spreading. At lease all you can get is sick for a couple days this new virus can kill you.

The weekly charge was $249 in the past to buy in advance of the cruise. It was sold out most of the time.

I think the cruise ships will not sail until Aug or Sept.Their are too many problems beside the virus that will prevent them from sailing any time soon.

The race track is open late in the day on port days and not at all if weather is bad. They also base it on reservations to decide hours of operation.

Last year i cruised 5 times on NCL i am close to platinum plus. If they cancel the program they would loose the loyal repeat cruiser.

Refunds are backed up because of volume of request. You can check on the status of your extra purchases on your cruise by checking my NCL my cruise vacation. It will show that your add on purchases are no longer listed.

I believe NCL will not cancel June or July cruises till final payments are made for existing cruises booked months ago.Their are a lot of people who think this will be over by than. They also see prices from NCL for the same cruises are now listed for a lot more money than they paid. The cruise ships have been labeled the worst case for anyone trying to avoid getting the virus.Lets be honest every thing we read should tell us this not going away any time soon.
-
I would think they would welcome cruises booked with final payment due on the cruise. They get to keep the money and issue a FCC for a future cruise. They can assume that Canada might resin their July status if the virus is under control.

Just a to note the Epic was used to get 650 million dollar loan to solve their cash flow problem. It goes to the bank if they can not pay back the loan,

I was on the Bliss and the Escape last year. Even if they reduce the passengers to 3000 i do not no how they can still maintain the things that i love about cruising. The atrium and comedy club are standing room only for shows and bands. You can not find a chair at pool now.The 4 nights of the top shows are are sold out.The specialty dining is all booked by the first day on board. The elevators between 6 pm and 10 pm are a 5/10 minute wait and are all 10 deep with passengers. The main dining rooms are 15/30 minute wait between 6 and 8 pm.If any one has any ideas to help NCL solve these issues please tell us.
