Most of my cruising alerts came from twitter for Carnival information.
Well, if anyone is on twitter and sees any current information from Carnival, please pass it along here. I would greatly appreciate it. thank you in advance.

Usually, a popup on their site or twitter alert.
Yeah, I keep looking on their website, but still nothing. I am not on twitter. When I called Carnival, they said they will do an email with the news in the next 24 hrs.

My guess Nassau and private island
that's my guess too. Just called Carnival and the girl I talked to, of course, did not have any information yet. she said they will let you know in 24 hrs. just keep watching your email. Does anybody know if Nassau or HMC or even Princess cays got effected by hurricane Fiona?

I wish Carnival would state what they are gonna do for the cruise I'm taking out of Miami on Sunday 9/25 to the Western Caribbean, which obviously is not happening now, of course. It was supposed to be a 6 day, coming back on Saturday, Oct 1.

Here is a page with several track models and the intensity model for 98L.
https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/storminfo/#98L
If you look at each of the track models, you will see one set heads toward the Yucatan, one set toward Florida, and one set in between. Generally, we see track models update over time more and more westerly which is why I don't really expect it to head to Florida.
Wow, there’s a lot of different track lines. By the time they truly figure out where this 98-L is headed and get solid info, I’ll probably be on the ship already (Sunday).

I just wish I knew what carnival is thinking with regards to rerouting. We obviously can’t go to the western Caribbean as planned (98L), can’t go to Eastern Caribbean (GT & PR messed up from Fiona), I think Bahamas is our only choice, but other ships and cruise lines will be effected too and you can’t send all the ships to Bahamas. Also, there’s a chance of 98L hitting south Florida next Friday and Saturday.

People if you're driving to the port fill up your tank before you park. You may have a problem filling it after you return.
great advice. Thanks- 2

Carnival isn't going to change anything until they know where the storm is going - so typically not more than 72 hours out.
Thank you. I have been wondering what they do. The only other time I have had to deal with this was back in 2017 when our cruise was suppose to depart from San Juan, PR and Carnival cancelled our cruise like 9 days out because there was no pier, it was destroyed by hurricane.

We fly into MIA next Friday from Houston....looks to be a bumpy ride!! The plan is to depart on the Horizon, Saturday, October 1. Hopefully we're all able to make our cruises and the folks at our many destinations are safe!! The joys of cruising during Hurricane season! Thank you for posting this.
I'm on the Horizon right before you. Sunday September 25 - Saturday October 1. Have no idea where we will be going as we are scheduled to visit Jamaica,GC,Cozumel.

Thank you PelicanBill
I'm watching this new tropical storm that will most likely turn into a hurricane. I'm supposed to be on the Horizon this Sunday for a western caribbean cruise. Jamaica on Tuesday, GC on Wednesday, Cozumel on Thursday. Don't think any of those are gonna happen now. Waiting game now. This is cruising during hurricane season, gotta be flexible and be prepared for changes.

Yikes! 3 of the 4 ports you were visiting have significant hurricane damage. Don't be surprised if you get switched to a totally different route. But look at the bright side - you will be going somewhere!
Yeah, I'm in the same boat, so to speak, I'm supposed to be in Jamaica on Tuesday (27th), Grand Cayman on Wednesday (28th), Cozumel on Thursday (29th). With this big tropical storm approaching, possibly turning into hurricane this weekend, don't think I'm gonna visit any of my places either. This is cruising during hurricane season, you gotta be ready and flexible for changes.

Thank you for taking the time to do this review. I hadn’t heard about the elevators. Glad you had fun.

Wow, you guys are good! There are some really great fantasy itineraries. I saw a lot of people had HMC, GT, Aruba, curaçao on their list. I put a deposit down on a cruise leaving 1/13/2024 out of Miami. It goes to HMC, Grand Turk, sea day, Aruba, Curaçao, then 2 sea days back to Miami,. Those are some of my favorite ports to visit. I just wish it was on a better ship, it’s on the carnival magic. I do also wish carnival would go to Tortola, I’ve never been there. Thanks for the fun thread, it’s been fun reading all the itineraries.

Yeah, with this storm coming towards Jamaica, I’m pretty sure my western Caribbean cruise on the horizon will change. Supposed to board ship this Sunday, Tuesday Jamaica (not gonna happen), Wednesday Grand cayman (not gonna happen either) Cozumel on Thursday. Curious as to where carnival will re-route the ship.

Growing concerned about the wave in the western Caribbean (98L). I’m supposed to leave on Allure OTS on 9/25 on a western Caribbean itinerary. Plus I live in Florida and have to think about boarding up before I go.
I’m with you, I’m supposed to go on a cruise this Sunday on the Horizon to the western Caribbean, Jamaica on Tuesday and Grand Cayman on Wednesday Cozumel on Thursday. I haven’t heard yet from carnival where they will redirect us to. -
Carnival is definitely not for everyone. I'm glad you at least tried it and now you know it is not for you. Happy sailing on future cruises.

Wow, beautiful beach.

Board ship, muster drill, go to Serenity deck if I've sailed the ship before, order a Mango Swirl and people watch. If it is a new ship that I have never sailed before - Muster drill, then I walk all around the ship to sea what it is like and get my bearings of where everything is at, then order a drink.

Does anyone know the last time she was in dry dock or if she is scheduled to have a little refresh in the future? Glad you still enjoyed your cruise despite not getting to do the dive in movies. Thank you for your review.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post all these beautiful photos of your trip. So glad you have such wonderful weather. So looking forward to your thoughts on Bermuda, that is a bucket list cruise for me that I will take in August 2024. Continue to have a wonderful time and safe travels and happy sailing!

Have fun and please do tell us how it all went. I’m curious if the Margaritaville theme is all throughout the ship, including the rooms. Enjoy!

When are you sailing, it doesn't open until sometime in 2023.
I was just so curious about this because the island looked already built out and I did not know there was more room to build more. I don’t have a cruise yet planned to go there. I have 8 cruises planned, but none of them go to coco cay. Thank you to all who replied. Happy sailing. 🛳
