There are so many great things to love about cruising but if I had to pick one, it would be being on the water.
Something about the sea calms my nerves and feeds my soul! :)

Freaking awesome! I have been so looking forward to another GApearl review!

In the comments section below the article that the OP linked us to, is a first hand account from a passenger on this cruise. Read it if you get a chance. Sounds like it was an absolute nightmare!
Glad everyone is safe albeit scared and inconvenienced.

Loving the review! I can hardly wait for more! :)

I stumbled upon your review of the Carnival Sunshine. I liked it so much I went back and read the rest of them and subscribed to your latest.
Your reviews ROCK!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to compose and put them together! :)

This Ebola scare is in my opinion being fanned by the new media. It is a shame. I hope this dosent effect the cruise industry. This isnt a carnival issue but will become an issue for all cruise lines because of the fear the new media is causing. I feel sorry for the passegner who is isolated. Like the nurses who flew from dallas. She was given clearance to travel by the cdc. Now she is being treated like a common criminal. I hope we as a society will take a step back and take a deep breath. Look at the facts not what talking heads are telling us. The news media are just trying to add fuel to the fire for ratings. Think about this. There have been 3 confirmed cases of Ebola in the United States. 3 people out of 300 million citizens. I feel safe with those numbers to travel.
A voice of reason in a sea of chaos! Thank you.

I have only been on the Triumph and the Magic. I liked the Magic the best and frankly think it will be hard to beat (except maybe the Breeze). I like the big ships apparently. lol
I haven't been on the Southern Caribbean itinerary but I am going with that one as my favorite. Will find out for sure next April (God willing)!

We were in a virtual balcony on Navigator of the Seas. We are normally balcony people, but this time we just could not afford it, so we opted for the virtual. It really does beat a plain interior. It was a big floor to ceiling screen that showed the portside of the boat. It had sound too. There was even a curtain that you could pull closed so that no virtual snoopers could watch you change clothes. One strange thing about the virtual balcony, it was on a side wall in the cabin, not on the wall where you would find a normal balcony - that threw me off. Naturally, given the choice, we would opt for the real deal, but it really was not that bad, we saw birds flying by, could watch what was going on in port, and it was not a dark room. You could turn your balcony on and off whenever you wanted to.
Actually sounds pretty cool, if you can't have the real thing, of course. :)

I am super excited about this review! This is one of my bucket list cruises!
Great job so far. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. :)

Wonderful review.....I did this trip in June.
Perhaps, though, you have reached your limit of review selfies!!
The first 27 were great by the way.
:D
These reviews take a lot of time and effort. To say such a thing to someone working so hard to tell us about her experience, which oh by the way is for OUR benefit, is unbelievably rude.
OP - Please post all the selfies you care to. Most of us enjoy the personal aspect of a review. It's great to see folks having fun! :)

We were on the Triumph last January when the ship lost all power including the engines while we were smack dab in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. We ran adrift for a little over an hour. During this time the back up generators were used to power emergency lights and of course, THE REGISTERS! Go figure. lol

Someone may have already mentioned this but a cheap plastic over the door shoe holder comes in very handy for storing and organizing all your small stuff.
There is nothing like your first cruise. Have a blast! :)

Looking forward to following this review! I already love it! :)

Subscribing. Looking forward to the rest! :)

Get a Fun Ship Special! :D

I can't wait! I think I will go back and read some of your older reviews while you get this one ready. Thanks for taking the time out to put these together. You do a great review!
I am real sorry for the loss of your son. I am sure that he would want you to move on and live happy lives, enjoying your time together. Glad to see y'all are doing that. He will be with y'all in spirit all the way!

Thanks for your wonderful review of your cruise on the Fascination! Looking forward to the Liberty review!

Subscribing. Sailing on the Liberty when after she moves to San Juan.
Looking forward to the rest of your review! :)

I think they're going to homeport the Vista at PC, move the Sunshine and dry dock the Valor all around the same time.
Carnival Liberty - 4/14/12 - 4/21/12 (Eastern Caribbean)
Carnival Breeze - 3/16/13 - 3/24/13 (Eastern Caribbean)
Carnival Ecstasy - 3/31/14 - 4/4/14 (Key West & Cozumel)
Carnival Sunshine - 4/17/14 - 4/19/14 (Freeport, BS)
Don't they usually send the new ships to Miami or NYC?

They make a great omelet! Also, like the mac and cheese (no bacon) and the lemon cake slices in the bread basket.

IMHO, having been on a combination of 1.0 and 2.0 ships (Triumph pre 2.0, Triumph after 2.0 and Magic, which has some of the 2.0 stuff) I found it doesn't make that big of a difference. Sure Guy's burgers are good. The burritos at the Blue Iguana are pretty good too but I found something I liked on all three cruises and ate way more than I should have. lol
Also, the bars served the same drinks no matter if it had a branding or not. I surely enjoyed plenty on all three ships! ;)

Would you mind telling me which room you stayed in. We are staying at the La Concha in April in an Ocean view room (not a suite in towers). Looks like you had the perfect view!
