You must be in your cabin to check messages for that extension/room.

I just got off the Dream on a B2B and on the second week I had a 1A on deck one. While I enjoyed having the natural light from the portholes, the vibration and noise from the stabilizers during the first night was almost unbearable. The vibration felt like cannon shots were going off. After the first night it was fine except when the bow thrusters are used - very loud but usually not for more than 20 minutes while docking.
I would have killed to have an interior on Deck 7 with cabins above and below.

On the Magic and Triumph it is held in the main theater the first night and it's run by the Cruise Director. Introduces the entertainment staff, there's some music and dancing, a break the ice event (usually musical chairs), etc. It's basically a welcome to the ship on the first night. And it's recorded and replayed on the cabin TVs.

And does anyone know if the Magic or Dream have the Alchemy Bar?
Neither has the Alchemy Bar at this time.

I have a question please. On the regular Blackjack game is the payoff 6:5 or 3:2? Somewhere I was reading that Carnival Casino paid $6.00 as a BJ win on a $5.00 bet. Thanks in advance for your answers!
3:2 payoff on blackjack is only on the $10 minimum and higher tables. Otherwise it's 6:5.

James Dunn is the current cruise director on the Magic. He's fine.

Triumph gets in Monday?
Triumph is currently on its 21-day round-trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Do you know if you can book multiple on the same cruise?
No, the person who the offer is for must be in the room booked. So no way for the same person to book more than one room on a single cruise.

Send an email with all relevant details to casino@carnival.com

If you choose a specific dining time, are you able to do Anytime Dining also if you prefer one day? or no?
No - you will not be able to switch day-to-day.
-
If you are using the deckplans on Carnival's website, there is a symbol legend on the upper left corner:
small circle/dot - 2 twin beds convertible to king, 1 upper pullman
square - 2 twin beds convertible to king, single sofa bed, and 1 upper pullman

Anytime dining on the Magic in December worked great for our group of 9. Only wait was on first elegant night and it was about 20 minutes. Otherwise we walked straight in without any wait and had the same table and servers.
Traditional dining would not have worked for our group because we never had the same group of our 9 go at the same time. Some nights, 5 of us went at 6:30 pm while the other 4 went at 8 pm. The flexibility YTD provides is great for a group.
No - they weren't seating people together with others - they have enough table configurations from 2 to 10-tops to handle whatever group sizes there may be.
-
From my experience, I think that they over-book ytd on the Magic. Just saying.
Could be, but on the December 14-21 cruise YTD worked perfectly. Only had a short wait the first night and the rest of the time we walked right in and had the same table and waitstaff because they were so good.

Is that aft on the ship?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
No - it's just aft of the Atrium Lobby. Southern Lights dining room is in the ship's aft.
-
Northern Lights Deck 3 is YTD on the Magic.

Did I miss what ship this was on??

Super Saver is also a guarantee category fare; you don't pick your specific cabin. That's a big difference from Early Saver fares.
Here is a description of the various fare types:
-
Yes, it really is "once Early Saver, always Early Saver." You are currently booked to the VIFP offer, including OBC but if another better offer for which you qualify comes along you will be able to change to the newer offer up until 2 days before cruise departure.
-
Lido Balconies on the Magic are awesome. Just had 10275 in December and it was great location and super quiet. You did very well.
-
Yes, my upgrade offer for a suite on the Magic a couple months ago came by email with a link to accept the upgrade. Didn't accept the offer.

I was looking to book private. Not a ship tour person. I'm not overly concerned as I agree the rely on word of mouth to keep in business.
I though Miami and Grand Cayman where the same time? I swear I just looked at the Time zone chart yesterday.
Yes, Miami and Grand Cayman are the same time zone. We were on the Magic and were on central standard time.

Seven days was the perfect amount of time for my first and only cruise. Never bored but was ready to get home on the final day. I cannot imagine it would feel too long but I suppose that depends on the person.

The Dream doesn't have the RedFrog Pub. It merely has a RedFrog Rum Bar on the Lido deck.
