So we’re booked on the Harmony for April 19, 2020.
Now to research the entertainment on Harmony.
Ditto! :D
Wonder if there is a Roll Call started for this cruise.
-
My thought is that Oasis will be fresh off a renovation. It will have the new features that Symphony has (restaurants, etc.) plus less wear and tear on the carpets and furnishings than Harmony.
If only we would knew that Cats would be gone as well...

I was just on Harmony
We've only been on the Freedom and the Oasis. What are your thoughts on the Harmony?
-
I was mistaken. Read the email too quickly. The Oasis Cruise the same week - April 26 to May 3 - IS on the price protected list!

I lied! The Oasis Cruise the same week IS price protected!!!
Also, Harmony will be sailing from Orlando with the same itinerary as the cancelled cruise - only sailing a week before. I would jump on that one - but my friend doesn’t like the show Grease. [emoji849]
Well, Oasis should be getting close to Harmony in amenities after her drydock. And maybe Cats will be swapped out for another show.

Just got the email saying that our Allure Cruise is cancelled.
Our Oasis Cruise Booked the same week not one of the price protected ones. Will have to figure out our options.

Just got my cancellation email. Was surprised to see that the price protected cruises are all before the week that we were booked to sail.
We can get $200 in OBC for booking any
other cruise.

We were on the Oasis in April. I’m a water drinker and I thought that the ship’s water tasted just fine. I had the drink package and had access to bottled water, but the ship’s water tasted much better to me. I think that the bottled water was Zepherhills spring.

So glad that while we’ve done nothing with our Allure booking, that we’ve booked on the Oasis as well. Will see what the future holds for us.

The Allure sailings for the end of April 2020 are back up again for sale
After I read this a couple of days ago, I checked on our 4-26-20 Allure cruise and it looked like booking WAS once again available.
But it looks like it’s gone again?
-
We booked the 4-26-20 cruise back in April of this year.
In early July we realized that it was no longer listed on the RCI website.
We’ve never heard one word about this from RCI yet.
We booked another cruise on the Oasis for that week and will wait on RCI to see what they say.

Off to Europe for dry dock then off to Asia and Australia
Richard CEO Royal Caribbean told French Media around 6 months ago "Australia should see Oasis Class by 2020"
Thanks. Was unaware of that, or that it would be the Allure when we booked an April ‘20 cruise for her in April of this year.
-
still the same, Allure is heading to Europe and will undergo her required drydock as well as a European season. Not surprising that it’s taking Royal a long time to finalize this. It took them a long time last year with the Oasis when they did the same thing.
I guess then, it’s patience that I need. [emoji52]

Hi Ken. So it’s been 5 weeks or so since the Allure has been pulled from the April 2020 cruising schedule. No information out from the company. Any thoughts on what might be going on there?

Already booked with the BOGOHO. I’d love to see the 30% off sale. We saw some savings with that in the past. We have 6 hundred plus days to wait. So we have a little time. [emoji4]

Just one thought to add to this hashed and rehashed and rehashed topic. (thanks, Biker)
When you eat at a restaurant and pay with a credit card, do you leave the tip in cash, or add it to the credit card?
If credit card, the server is probably not getting all of it.
Does THAT bother you?
Are you talking about something other than splitting with runners, bus people, etc, CC fees, and taxes?

Yes was able. They just switched my lost cruise Confirmation # to the new cruise.
I hope that it's so easy for me. But I have the added element of being booked through RCI for our original cruise and booking with a TA for the second cruise.
Talk about 1st world problems. Spending so much time and concern over who will service our cruise planning - the company or our TA.
Yes, I obsess too much.
-
Yeah, really. Couple years ago learned about my 13n Rhapsody Repo being canceled here on CC. Jumped on the Alternate ship Royal was offering OBC, scored a prime Aft/corner Cabin on Serenade all before cabins got scooped up. This 2 weeks before received the Official Royal statement from that Rhap was canceled with Serenade being the offered alt ship...
Did you get any compensation from RCI since you booked before they let you know officially about the cancellation of your Repo?

You can absolutely call me Ken.:)

I say if you trust what the reps tell you then I have a bridge in New York that I can sell you.:D...
...Hang tight and wait for Royal to notify you before you cancel.
I was very involved with a Disney message board for years. Believe me, I’ve had much experience with the posters knowing things long in advance of the Disney cast members. I figured that it was very similar with RCI and the CC boards.
I’m not canceling anything yet. As you’re aware, I have a long time to wait.
Thanks! [emoji4]
PS - Mind if I call you Ken? I see other posters doing so.
I’m Beth, btw.

All of Allures April 2020 Caribbean sailings have been cancelled. Looks like they are adjusting her itineraries so she can do the Westbound TA in April. Whether or not the drydock is in the spring or fall remains to be seen.
Anyone booked on those April cruises should just wait until Royal calls with an offer to move you to a different date. If you move on your own before the call you won’t get any compensation.
Gay posted in our RollCall that her TA got a call from RCI and that they told the TA that the April ‘20 cruises for the Allure were not canceled. They said that it was a problem with their website. (I’m just shocked! SHOCKED!!! [emoji849][emoji6])
What do you say, Ourusualbeach?

Just so thankful for seeing this information last week this time. It prompted me to contact my TA friend (who, of course, knows nothing about these probable cancellations [emoji849]) and look into the Oasis’s itinerary for the same week. When the exact same cabins were available, we put a deposit down on that cruise and are waiting for official word from RCI.
We did not cancel our Allure cruise yet, though.

Once you get notification I would call C&A and see if they will make an exception and transfer any OBC offered over to the new cruise as you can show that it was booked after they put the Allure cruise into code red status. It’s worth a phone call.
Thank you so much for this suggestion. As my mom has always said “No harm in asking, the worse that they can say is “No.’”Certainly willing to take that chance. [emoji16]
